Lovely room (The Windsor) with a very comfortable bed. Great hosts, Rose and Murray. We stayed five nights. Breakfast was available at any time we asked. The eggs benedict on grilled veggies was fabulous and the oatmeal we requested on the last day was excellent. New West, as they call it, is well-located and a charming town with its own claim on Canadian history.

I stayed three nights at the Dutch Dog B & B in New Westminster, BC.

It is clean, conveniently located, and reasonably priced although a bit loud They have three rooms; we stayed in the Highlander room upstairs. Our room came with a private washroom, accessible from outside of the bedroom and a small living room area. I think two of the rooms have access to a kitchen.

My cons would be the shower, the fixed breakfast time, and the cash only policy. The shower head was short and a bit under-powered. My husband who is 6 foot 2 had a creative time having a shower (very awkward). Breakfast times were too set in stone - 9:00 - and although the breakfast is delicious you don't get to choose or know in advance what the breakfast will be. I found out on our last day that they accepted cash only, which was a little inconvenient for me.

If you need to stay in New Westminster, I recommend staying at this B&B, The Met Hotel or the Inn at Westminster Quay (more expensive). However, I preferred staying at the Best Western in Vancouver, at the Kingsway - close to main street location. It had great value and very convenient location with more flexibility.
