Our hostess, Judith, was very hospitable, delicious breakfast. Lovely restored home, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Hope to be back soon.

I am a solo traveller from Belgium who visited western Canada last May 2011. I wanted to spend some time on Vancouver Island before proceeding to the city of Vancouver and chose Nanaimo as a good central hub. As I decided not to rent a car I looked for a B&B in the town itself and Kennedy House was the obvious option: close to the bus station and the seaplane terminal, a ten-minute downhill walk to the main restaurants, etc. The house itself is very beautiful in classic Victorian style but with uptodate bathroom facilities. The owner is a charming lady who served me complete breakfasts and helped me sort out small travel problems.

Very plesant stay. The room was very cosy. The breakfast was very good.

My husband and I had been travelling for a few weeks and really appreciated the home style welcome, the small touches to make our stay relaxing including recommendations for dining and free DVDs to watch in our room with a complimentary glass of wine. We have pets at home so we were pleased to be able to interact with the resident furry family however we also thought it was good that the owners realised that not everyone was comfortable with pets and offered to quarantine them if that would have suited us better. The house has an interesting history and lots of interesting pieces to look at over a delicious home made breakfast. Very reasonably priced.
