Over the past few years I have travelled across Canada, and one of my stops is Nanaimo, B.C., where I stay at the Nanaimo International Hostel, on Nicol Street, near downtown, and overlookiing Nanaimo Harbour. I stay here because of the excellent views, the excellent facilities, and most of all, the interesting and diverse people who come to stay. Hostels are little crossroads with all kinds of different travellers stopping to rest, and revitalize themselves, and this place does it perfectly. Good cooking facilities, good and comfortable sleeping dorms, occasionally I stay in a private room when I am less budget 'aware'. I have only found joy and comfort staying with John and Moni and friends. It's a family business with excellent personnel on housekeeping, and wonderful guests.
