I stay at this hotel frequently while in Nanaimo on business. Even though there is another well known hotel right beside my office, I prefer to stay here.

The rooms are always clean, staff is friendly, and it has always been quiet. There is a decent breakfast included with your stay, which is really nice to have right there instead of having to stop somewhere on the way to work.

Also, I love the bathtubs here. May seem like a small detail, but something I love! (they are super deep)

The hotel is a year or two old. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, sink and counter space. which we found quite convenient.

A basic room, nicely decorated, and served our needs. It would be good for a longer stay with the kitchen.

There is a small meeting room on the main floor which was quiet and served our meeting purposes on a different occasion.

I would stay here again.

We spend our first night at this Ramada, while visiting the island. We found it quite convenient to be so close to the ferry so we decided to book the room for our last night on Vancouver Island. We travelled around different parts of the island and then decided we wanted to see more of Naniamo. We called and booked the same room for the whole long weekend. It was great and I love that city. . As far as the motel, I enjoyed the breakfast, used the excercise room, the computer room, and also did my laundry in the laundry room.Staff was excellent and the main thing was my room was clean. It was located close the waterfront and I tried the White Spot restaruant which was closeby for the first time. It was all good.

Was warned there are some 'tired' motels in Nanaimo. So stayed in this modern near-new property during a Sept/Oct 2010 visit enroute to Victoria BC. We arrived at 10pm with no reservation and the front desk clerk was super friendly. Approx 5 floors high with lift/elevator. Spacious rooms, LCD Panel TVs with cable TV, two comfy Queen Size beds. Modern molded hard plastic shower/bath. Free modest continental breakfast included. Suspect it is the newest competitively priced accommodation in Nanaimo. Right on the way between the Ferry Terminal and Nanaimo downtown. Beat our accommodation in Vancouver and Victoria. I'd call it near new 4 star.
