In fairness, I must compliment them on one positive.
I had a problem with our booking and our stay was going to be shortened by one day, after some lenghty discussions they agreed not to charge me a cancellation fee (one nights rent).

However, after I arrived at the Inn, I wished I had cancelled the whole booking. Overall the place was not in horrible shape but could certainly use a better cleaning and a coat of paint. The room also had a real stale smell to it, not sure if it was from a previous guest smoking or what... but I needed a half bottle of air freshener to clear it up.

The bathroom had a frosted window but no curtain so everyone walking by could see into the bathroom. Also, the bathroom was not equipped with a fan and as a result had mold on the ceiling.

On top of that, there was a list of amenities that seem basic when you rent a place that they didn't provide. There was no phone , no alarm clock, no ironing board, etc

For the price they charge, there is much better out there

This Hotel was close to the beach which was good but there was a screw up in our booking, they had us leaving a day earlier than we were supposed to. So they fixed that for us and then we paid cash for our stay. Well we get home and they have charged 135.00 extra to our credit card. When we phone to find out why they did that, the manager Owen tells me that we booked it on line and that it said 2 Adults and no kids so too bad aso sad. I told him we do not even have the Internet and he said he has the proof. He basically said i was a liar and then told me that this conversation was over nad hung up on me. I called back and asked for the owners number and he said this is as far as this goes and hung up one me again. I still have not got my money back and I reccommend to stay clear of this hotel.

Sandalwood Inn is the WORST Inn. They have horrible customer service. DO NOT EVER BOOK A ROOM IN THIS HOTEL. They will take your money even when you have cancelled your booking a week in advance and are do not respect customers.

They claimed that we were lying to them about our cancellation when in fact they fired the employee who took down our cancellation booking. They are unreasonable, rude and awful to deal with.

We booked a 2 bedroom Suite. The first room they gave us was so smelly and run down we could not stay in it. The second room was smelly and the stove did not work ,the bathroom was run down needed repairs badley, furniture torn broken,worst place we have every stayed. Lacation was good and pool was good but the room yuk
