this place was great. clean comfy room . hotel staff was friendly and accommodating I was visiting someone in the hospital so i got a special room rate. the hotel was conveniently located near several restaurants and food stores. public transpiration runs right in front of the hotel .

We stayed here recently when my mother-in-law needed care at Kelowna General. They were able to accommodate six people in the same room, usually we are told wee need to have two rooms. With grand kids, it"s always better to stay together. Indoor pool and hot tub are very good and not just crammed into a small corner of the hotel. The room had a full kitchen and a separate bedroom. The only drawback was a shower only and no bathtub.

We hadn't pre-booked a hotel in Kelowna as part of our trip through British Columbia and by the time we hit Kelowna we just couldn't drive any more and so we pulled into Siesta Suites (having quickly driven out of the more expensive resorts in the area). The welcome was warm. In fact, the service overall was great. However, the room smelt damp and as a result felt less than 100% clean. The location is less than perfect - being at least a half an hour walk from Kelowna's main restaurant and shopping area (although there are chain restaurants and a strip mall just over the road if all you're looking for is a burger or coffee). I only wish I'd pushed through the driving pain barrier and made it to Penticton which was, on the whole, a much nicer town.

We stayed for two nights in July 2010 and we're sorry we chose this place! We requested a non-smoking room, but the place STANK of cigarette smoke - it was really strong and quite disgusting. We mentioned this to the reception staff and pretty much received a shrug. Because the room was so smelly we had to leave the door open whilst we were in there (which was as little as possible) and as it was 30 odd degrees outside the room became boiling hot. Plus the room is about 2 feet from the car park.

Our bedroom looked directly onto a 24hour drive through fast food place, so we had to leave the curtains closed at all times which only served to enhance the grubby and grotty feeling of the place.

The bathroom had one tiny light above the mirror (no window) so in order to see we had to switch on a timed heat lamp. Not only did this heat the bathroom to seriously uncomfortable levels, but if it went out whilst you wre in the shower you were plunged into darkness. The shower was a bit of health hazard in that it switched between freezing (and I mean FREEZING) cold water and then immediately back to scalding hot. We tried letting it run for a while or turning it hotter and colder but nothing worked. Again we complained to reception and the guy said 'Yeah that does tend to happen'. Shame that they know about it but obviously don't care enough to do anything about it.

The location wasn;t great for us - it's about 5km out of town (and it's a lovely town) and on a busy dual carriage way. But to get to Kelowna you'll probably have a car anyway so it isn't too big a deal.

This place is essentially a motel with poor service and paper thin walls and ceilings, and it kind of spoilt our trip to Kelowna. Definitely WOULD NOT stay here again.
