Booked through hotwire and expected to have a quality stay, however, it's not.

Firstly, the reception demand a full paid? What, hotwire is prepaid service. It took 15 minutes to call hotwire hotline to solve this issue.

Room was outdated and require a refresh. Internet access required wifi passcode, however reception was closed and gave up.

Location wise it's on the highway, like other motel. Next door was Wendy's and Mcdonald's.

We mistakenly booked a one nights stay using our Barclaycard. Having read the reviews we almost immediately changed our minds. We emailed a cancellation 6 weeks prior to our stay. We still got charged by the Inn and 5 months later and lots of effort have not had a refund from either the Inn or Barclaycard-BEWARE

Staying here was a mistake. The room was not clean, the carpet was old and dirty. The bed was worn out as was the bedding and I'm not sure it was even clean. The Towels were worn thin and had holes in them and the soap and shampoo provided were a joke. Lighting in the room is very bad and the walls are very thin. The room had an unpleasant odor as well. The Pool was the only thing that looked ok. The price was cheap but even at that it was not worth what we paid. The only advantage to the site was that you could walk to a number of fast food restaurants. As another traveler said, if you have to stay here, arrive very late and leave early.

For starters, the room smelled smokey even though it was "non smoking." Carpets, sinks and toilet were dirty and towels and washrags looked like shoe-shine rags. Old food was still in the fridge. Three of four lights did not work and tub drain was plugged. Bed was lumpy. Perhaps it is used as a dog and cat kennel during the off season, as the scent of urine was quite strong. This motel should be closed down by the Kamloops Health Department.

We had booked through Expedia and got there after 4pm so the clerk would not give us a refund. While we tried to get our money refunded, another couple checked out two different rooms and said they both stunk! Nearby hotels were cheaper and cleaner but Rodeway's "non refund" policy forced us to stay. Never again will we pay for a room without first looking at it. We'll never stay at another Rodeway Inn.
