We arrived early at this hotel after a long drive and were pleased to find that the hotel room was ready which was great news. The room was very small, but had a great view of the mountains.

The room was nicely decorated - but like stepping back in time. The lift was an interesting feature as it is so old and quirky and the photos in the lobby were also interesting. The free internet in the lobby was very useful.

We had our evening meal in the hotel restaurant and the food was nice. We ate here purely as we did not feel that safe on the main streets after dark (were constantly harrassed by people begging for money while going from the car park to the hotel lobby to check in, via the main street),

The town itself sems to have little in the way of charm or character, which was rather a shame. We found nothing to visit in the area during the afternoon - there was a museum, but unfortunately this was closed.

The room was quiet and we heard no street noise.

The breakfast should have had more of a choice (there is not choice)!

Nice hotel - wrong location.

One night is definitely enough in this location. If I had to return to Kamloops, I would probably try to stay a little further out of town.

We stayed at the Plaza Herigae Hotel for one night and wanted to move in! We had such a wonderful romantic night there. The location could not be more convenient and the way we were treated at front desk was second to none. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing and we had such agood sleep! We loved the decor, the feel of the whole hotel was very romantic and whimsical, then we stepped out the doors onto Victoria street with all of the shoppes and restaraunts right there! it was perfect! We have found our new favourite hotel in Kamloops and will stay there everytime we visit!

Our son goes to University in Kamloops. In the past we have stayed in the area by the school near the highway. On our last visit we decided to stay downtown and gave the Plaza Heritage a try.
This is such a cool hotel. Each room is unique and funky. I enjoyed the downtown location although it was a bit noisy when the bars let out in the wee hours.
Our price included a fixed breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns and coffee.
Staff was very friendly.
We will stay again

Our room was located on the same floor as the hotel staff room. Their radio was on all day long and we can hear them talking loudly and clearly even in our room. It was VERY NOISY and disturbed our sleep. When we finally fall asleep the fire alarm rang around 6am without any reason. We went downstairs and waited for around 15 mins until it stopped. Then it rang again for another few minutes after we lay down in bed. We couldn't really get back to sleep after all these disturbances and felt really tired. The hotel staff didn't explain why the alarm rang nor showing any sorriness about what had happened.

The good thing is the free breakfast and the very friendly old lady staff in the Saltrock bar/restaurant.

We stayed in Kamloops just because we needed a stop point. Would definitely avoid this location next time! Try those hotels next to Trans Canadian Highway if you're looking for a short stay.
