Spent a night here, having driven up from Victoria, BC.
Quiet & Comfortable; morning brought clear skies & a view.
Adequate parking, breakfast was a self serve, no frills meal.
Check in & out was brisk & quick. All dining options nearby close by 10 or so.

This service at this hotel was not friendly, especially in the morning. The room was dirty. There were hairs in the bathroom and the toilet was not flushed with urine and toilet paper in it. There were bugs on the window tracks. They looked like they had never been cleaned. This place is also overpriced. I would go for something different if in Kamloops again.

We stayed at this facility on May 29th 2010 and it was not quite the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The Howard Inn at Regina was the worst but this was a close second. The hotel looked generally seedy. The bathroom by the toilet and bathtub smelt of urine as did the hallwall. The room was frankly horrible. It looked dated and dirty and we did not even remove our shoes because we did not want to walk on the carpet. We wondered when the bedspread was last laundered! The bathroom could not have been more basic. We paid I believe around $124 plus taxes to stay in this dump and we could not wait to leave. The people at the front desk spoke little understandable English and did not appear to care either. We complained to Super 8 who contacted the manager and this was the response back to us from the manager:

we are sorry you had unpleasant stay. but we do try to keep our facility clean and update. again we are sorry. thank you jesse mahal


This was hardly a professional response back and spoke volumes regarding the communication issues we noted when we tried to speak to the staff at this facility. We told them it was a dump but they could have cared less! The breakfast was stale with little variety and it was on par with the room and facilities. For the price we paid we could have found a far better facility than this one. We wil never stay here again and we will think twice now before we ever stay at a Super 8 again, although in fairness, we have in the past stayed at some decent Super 8's but this one, avoid it like the plague!
