This hotel was the perfect stop over on the long drive from Whistler to Jasper
Most people stay overnight in the rather dingy town of Kamloops which has nothing going for it other than it's geographic location.
Lac Le Jeune is a bit off the beaten track but well worth the extra milage
Located off the main drag up a logging road between two lakes and surrounded by forests .... no town, shops, pubs, restaraunt near it I was a bit worried on arrival. But just chill out for a day or two enjoy the real Canada and the great hospitality offered by the owners.
They are bird nuts with feeders all around the place ... so much wildlife it is mind boggling ... but the owners are eager to point out all thewild birds and animals around the place ... a complete chill out ... nothing to do but soak up the silence.
Walk around or canoe on the lake if you wish ... numerous nature trails
Great food, wonderful value for money and a delightful unexpected change from all the other hotels on our trip
