We have stayed at Fountain Motel about 2 or 3 times. It was a recommendation from a business associate that stayed here for a number of weeks that told us about this place. The rates are great, and the lady running the place is very attentive. Clean rooms, good TV. It is a good basic motel. Why pay more?

Since this motel isn't part of a chain, I thought I'd give my first review on trip advisor, because otherwise most people would just pass by without stopping. This place is great value and has everything you want in a motel. It is old fashioned where it doesn't matter (like the wood panelling) but clean and modern where it does, like bathroom fixtures, bed, internet reception. Just little touches were great, like a coffee mug that holds more than a splash of coffee, and the fresh baked muffins in the morning. As far as I'm concerned it's a Canadian classic.

We stayed at the Fountain Motel after reading other reviews and found it to be exactly as advertized. Clean, quiet and a comfortable bed. Newly updated bathroom and everything was very cozy. The lady at the front counter was very pleasant and even had fresh home made muffins and juice available when we checked out the next morning. Excellent value for the money. If you're expecting something fancy, it's not that but for overnight it was perfect. Fastest internet out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip too. We were able to watch Netflix on our laptop.

Great stay best location friendly staff will be back. Merv
