“Nice clean room and close to beach.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2010

Very well appointed rooms and kitchen. Some rooms have a kitchenette. Ours did and was very useful. Had pots, dishes, utensils etc. Stove, fridge and coffee maker (bring coffee and filters as only 1 in room).
The room was very clean. Free wireless internet (get code at front counter) and free parking. Right accross from beach too.
I was very impressed with Marie at the front counter. Very nice and I bothered her twice and no complaint at all. I felt bad as they were silly questions and she had to come from the back room (you ring bell). She was very nice and helpful and made me feel comfortable and at home.
Sushi restaurant right at entrance. Didn't eat there so cannot comment but looked good.
If you want a simple place, for a reasonable price (for Harrison Hot Springs) and have it be clean and comfortable, then this is the place. Simple, inexpensive and clean...

“Roomy, comfortable, great location, good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

Our family of 5 and a small dog stayed here for $150/night inc. taxes. We had a small kitchen with nice appliances and new cabinets. There were TWO sofa beds in the living room, and nice furniture (not 5 star, but it doesn't claim to be that).
The bathroom still had the robin egg blue fixtures, but was quite usable and clean. There were two separate bedrooms too. This is sooo nice as adults don't have to sleep with the children. Wink, wink.
There was no AC and no blow dryer in the bathroom, but we found we didn't need either of them. Despite a heat wave in BC at the time, the room stayed nice and cool.
The location is great; across the street from the fancy older hotel, beach directly across another street, restaurants on all sides, a one block walk to the public hot spring pool so we did not miss a pool at the motel.
The owners/workers kept the place very clean and were very friendly. They had a strong asian accent, but we were able to communicate well anyway.
Great place to stay, especially if you're not looking for the spa experience, pampering, or too many amenities.

“Great Location on the Lake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2008

This is an older, well-maintained motel across the street from the beach. Our room opened onto a semi-private balcony with a view of the lake. The room was quite large with a full kitchen and 2 beds (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). The room was extremely clean but there was a slight musty smell in the bedroom. At $89, this is a great value for a summer stay on the lake. Next door is a good sushi restaurant. All in all, a pleasant stay!

we stayed in 1 queen bed room. Our unit didn't really have lake view but it was still very close to the beach. it was very quiet during the night and most of all, much cleaner/tidier than what I expected would be.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, and free wireless internet service
  • Disliked — no smoking room

“Good Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2006

The Spa Motel is a ckean and functional motel - though it's looking a little old. Our suite had 2 double beds, a kitchen and a balcony - all for less than $100, so it's good value. It's also on the Esplanade right next to the beach, so it's location is good. If you want modern, then look elsewhere, but otherwise the Spa is fine. Harrison is a lovely little town - rather like an old-fashioned little English seaside town.
