“Good Meetings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We held our annual company retreat at the Ramada in Harrison Hot Springs a few months ago. It was the best retreat we've had in the 6 years we've been holding them. The rooms were great, large and comfortable, the food was good, especially considering the price and everyone loved the location. We couldn't beat being in such a beautiful location for the price we were paying. We will be back again next year for sure!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th floor facing the lake.

“Like a bad 70's horror movie”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This is possibly the worst hotel you could stay at in Harrison, and that's saying a lot considering there's practically the Bates motel across the street. The rooms are small, cold, and dirty (there were potato chips hidden all over the room). The pillows are lumpy and the beds are uncomfortable. The interior feels like it was decorated in the 70's and never updated.

There is a hot tub and fitness center but that's not saying much. The hot tub is a weird shade of green, the workout equipment is rusty and the steam room doesn't work at all.

The only reason you would stay here is to save money (about $85 a night) but seriously, stay at the main Harrison hotel or the Harrison beach hotel for $40 more a night and you will be much, much happier.

Thank you for your review.

We are sorry that your stay wasn't up to your expectations. It would have been great to hear about your concerns while you were staying at the hotel so we could have taken steps to make your stay better.

We have heard feedback from guests like yourselves regarding our outdated decor, and we are making changes to fix that issue. Changes over the next few months coming to the hotel include painting of the guest rooms, new drapes and new carpeting, as well as many other changes to follow that.

We are sorry that the housekeeping wasn't up to standard, if you could email us at owner@harrisonhotsprings.com with further information about your stay we can take steps to insure the housekeeping improves.

“NEVER AGAIN!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I read the reviews but thought it would be ok - but it was awful! Booked a room for my sister and I with two beds away from elevator and ice machine got 1 bed. They moved us - to beside the elevator and ice machine. Moved us again to a room that was so filthy. What looked like bloo stains on the rug and filthy bathroom. I am not a picky person but this hotel is absolutely disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
We were moved the next night and were credited for 1 nights stay and Manager apologized - he told us that room was not in use....The other room was clean but not worth the $149 a night!! - Maybe $50

Room Tip: I do not believe there is a good room!

Thank you for your review of the Executive Hotel (now Ramada). As of December 15th 2011 our hotel changed names and has been taking steps to improve the experience for all of our guests. Some of the changes we are making include new carpets, painting of rooms and drapes.

We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at the hotel. I would hope you take a look at the reviews in the coming months after all the changes have been made, and see that the changes will make a positive impact on guest experience and that you decide to stay here again.

“Not what I expected”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

I had purchased a very misleading social shopper coupon. I had thought it was a coupon for the Harrison Hot springs Hotel, but it turned out to be the Ramada. Since I was expecting to stay at the actual Harrison Hot Springs hotel, I was not impressed to find it was really the Ramada. I had "upgraded" to a King room with a pull out for my kids. The room came with a fridge and microwave. First off the rooms are very small, old and the bathrooms are tiny with next to no counter space, next the hotel does not have any cutlery or flat wear to use in your room. Many places to eat were closed and the hotel itself has no food to offer. The restaurant that they give you a discount to, is closed for renovations. The only good thing was the pizza place next door. On the flip side, staff was very friendly, but I really cant comment on service because they dont offer any service. I would never stay there again and I am extremely angry with Social shopper for not saying its the Ramada.

Room Tip: Room 408 is directly across from the hot tub, so its easy for families

Thank you for your review.

We just recently became a Ramada Hotel, any Social Shopper vouchers would have been sold with our current name or our previous name the Executive Hotel.

It is true that we are undergoing renovations, first our restaurant, but our rooms will be renovated in the coming months as well. We do not have cutlery in the rooms, but if you request cutlery from our front desk, we generally can provide that for you.

We hope you will come for another stay in the future.

“Was not impressed with service, the room, or the smell in our hotel room.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We went for a small getaway after our wedding. We needed a break. Figured that the spa and dinner credit would be nice as well - what we got with our voucher when we purchased it through an online deal.
Our room smelled but we thought it was just us so I didn't say anything until the following day. At that time, I was given a key to move to another room.
The hotel does not honor their deals - that was my biggest annoyance with them.  The dinner place was closed for dinner orders as they were renovating. They only provided room service for breakfast. However the voucher for food said we needed to spend $40 in order to get the $20 credit! I don't know many people who can have that big of a breakfast or have alcohol that early (how else were us two going to get out bill to $40!).  But the hotel nor the restaurant was able to assist with this. The person at the front desk gave me a blank stare when I said it was not stated on the voucher that we needed to spend double in order to get the credit and it's not our problem the restaurant is renovating.  He also ignored my inquiry about the that spa credit. The person who had booked my room had said the spa credit was for both people. This man told me that it wasn't for both guests.

Anyhow, I was disappointed by this so we didn't bother with the spa. I will probably be very cautious to buy an accommodation voucher online again and would recommend this hotel to no one.

The manager has stated in response to other reviews that while the guests are there the hotel will try their hardest to deal with the situations. I did, however, bring up these issues to the front desk not once but twice. So it wasn't as if we hadn't tried to resolve this. The service is poor. I have stayed in similar hotels and the service always exceeds everything else and makes the stay more comfortable even if the hotel is old. This hotel does not meet even my minimum expectations.
