A business that is $75 million dollars in debt probably wasn't the best place to put our money. Don't get me wrong; these villas are beautiful, but they aren't maintained at all. We arrived with a broken garage door that wouldn't close, and a patio door that wouldn't lock. Had to have the front desk lady come to fix the dvd player as it was not working. We were having a birthday party and while putting up streamers, found a pair of dirty women's jean short shorts up on top of the cabinets, and the beds were less than acceptably clean. We payed $500 in october for one night, a lot of money for the down season - and a week after booking got a call saying their golf course would not be available for use and their restaurant had shut down, with no discount off the cost of our stay. When they advertise "private hot tubs" be aware that you are only to use them until 11 pm, because we made the mistake of staying in it until 11:15 pm and were charged $200 for it. We woke up the next mooring to one of their employees knocking on the door telling us they were charging us $200 to remove a truck out of the next door neighbours driveway (it was blocking the permanent resident's garage) although we had not a clue who's truck it was and certainly did not belong to our party. We ended up paying for $400 in extra fees for "noise complaints" that were never delivered to I, the renter of the villa personally. The security guard was personally "hanging out" with the guests of our party and assured us we weren't being to loud.
Coming from a background education in tourism and hospitality I found that every employee I dealt with at the falls was not capable of dealing with the issues professionally and that they were trying to fine us extra money for anything they could possibly could, maybe having to do with the fact that they are in such debt…
