I traveled there for my son's U12 Rep Soccer tournament from Aug 28-30. The majority of our team had booked rooms well in advance. When we arrived, I was asked to pay upfront. Going up the stairs you had to watch your step as you walked on the odd rotten one. We opened up our door, and the room smelled musty, smoky and like over sprayed air freshener kind of like baby powder. The carpets were very dirty, the bathroom was dirty, the hot water temperature would fluctuate while you were using it. My son almost got burned while in the shower even after I had adjusted it for him, because it had happened to me moments before. When we went to get into bed, the blankets had blonde hairs on them, neither of us have blonde hair. And from who I saw working there, they don't either. The blankets also had burn holes in them and when I put my purse down by my nightstand, I noticed cigarette ashes. The glasses were dirty, and the front of the counter had not been cleaned in who knows how long. The towels nor the sheets smelled clean. I was actually missing the strong bleach smell that you normally find at hotels, but at least you know they have been washed. The next morning I went down to the lobby to tell the owner. She said that they just shampooed the carpets. I left my door open while the kids were swimming in the pool and the cleaning lady went in and out in a matter of minutes. All she did was make my bed, which I had thrown the dirty hair ridden blankets off and onto the floor, now they were back on my bed! She also did a quick wipe on the coffee table. I went right to my room afterwards and the cigarette ashes were still there!!! I brought the female owner back to show her, and she said she would tell the cleaning lady. I told her that she was already in there, and she hadn't done it. I also said that we had a soccer game to go to so we would be gone for awhile so she would have time to clean. When we got back all that she had done was pick it up, still hadn't vacuumed!
I asked the rest of our team if their rooms were as bad, and they ALL SAID YES! One of the team mates had sunsflower seeds/ shells on the floor that weren't theirs. Another found all kinds of wrappers by the bed and the morning we left she found a huge wad of purple gum with hair and feathers stuck to it. Their television had also died and they did n't have any hot water for part of the stay. After we all shared our own horror stories, I can guarantee I will NEVER stay there again nor let anyone I know stay there.
