“Very Disgusting Rooms that hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2009

I traveled there for my son's U12 Rep Soccer tournament from Aug 28-30. The majority of our team had booked rooms well in advance. When we arrived, I was asked to pay upfront. Going up the stairs you had to watch your step as you walked on the odd rotten one. We opened up our door, and the room smelled musty, smoky and like over sprayed air freshener kind of like baby powder. The carpets were very dirty, the bathroom was dirty, the hot water temperature would fluctuate while you were using it. My son almost got burned while in the shower even after I had adjusted it for him, because it had happened to me moments before. When we went to get into bed, the blankets had blonde hairs on them, neither of us have blonde hair. And from who I saw working there, they don't either. The blankets also had burn holes in them and when I put my purse down by my nightstand, I noticed cigarette ashes. The glasses were dirty, and the front of the counter had not been cleaned in who knows how long. The towels nor the sheets smelled clean. I was actually missing the strong bleach smell that you normally find at hotels, but at least you know they have been washed. The next morning I went down to the lobby to tell the owner. She said that they just shampooed the carpets. I left my door open while the kids were swimming in the pool and the cleaning lady went in and out in a matter of minutes. All she did was make my bed, which I had thrown the dirty hair ridden blankets off and onto the floor, now they were back on my bed! She also did a quick wipe on the coffee table. I went right to my room afterwards and the cigarette ashes were still there!!! I brought the female owner back to show her, and she said she would tell the cleaning lady. I told her that she was already in there, and she hadn't done it. I also said that we had a soccer game to go to so we would be gone for awhile so she would have time to clean. When we got back all that she had done was pick it up, still hadn't vacuumed!
I asked the rest of our team if their rooms were as bad, and they ALL SAID YES! One of the team mates had sunsflower seeds/ shells on the floor that weren't theirs. Another found all kinds of wrappers by the bed and the morning we left she found a huge wad of purple gum with hair and feathers stuck to it. Their television had also died and they did n't have any hot water for part of the stay. After we all shared our own horror stories, I can guarantee I will NEVER stay there again nor let anyone I know stay there.

“absolutley disgusting!-does not deserve even one star!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2008

We had booked our entire girls under 13 rep soccer team to stay for the weekend...more than 1/2 cancelled their rooms when they saw how bad they were..for the rest of us that could not find other accomodations it just kept getting worse...all the rooms stunk..from stale smoke and mildew (the mildew was visible on the walls and window sills) the beds were broken and sagged...when showering several people were scalded when the hot water turned itself up WITH NO WARNING...there were dirty cups in two of the rooms..one with a cigarette butt in it and the other with mold....
When we got into the 2nd room as we refused to take the 1st one ther was sand on the couch and the floors had not been vacuumed.....the people in the room next to us had to ask for clean sheets as it was obvious that they had not been changed after the previous occupants....
These rooms should only be rented by people that want them on an hourly basis!!!!!

“Severely Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2007

We reserved for 2 nights and had to pay up front so there was no way we could get out of our 2nd night stay. The approved accomodations says that it was renovated in 2004 but I do not see any sign of this. We booked a non-smoking room, however the room used to be a smoking room and still had burn marks in the carpets, comforter and blankets and smelled of stale smoke. There was a hole in the wall that was patched over but not repainted, the bed sagged HORRIBLY and the sleep was awful, you can not use the fridge and the microwave together or you will blow a fuse (and I discovered you can not use a hair dryer and the air conditioner at the same time or you will blow a fuse as well) There were no notices of this. The bathroom had no fan so who knows what mildew or mold is growing in the room. There were cobwebs on the ceilings. There was no closet door. Wireless internet is free except for the 19.50 charge to sign up. the pool was dirty and didnt look like it was cleaned over the weekend.
