“Good place to pull of the road, better than average.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

I was enroujte to Vancouver and had a reservation at the Fairmont Vancouver, but did not want to arrive a day eariier than planned and pay those big rates. I also saw a billboard for Ric"s Grill restaurant at this exit, although the Mapquest directions were hard to follow, because the road on which this restuarant and the motel are located looks like it is a shopping center entrance and the street sign is obscure. Anyway, i had a fine dinner by walking from the motel. As others have noted, the service at Comfort Inn is friendly, there is no pool, which I would have expected, and currently no breakfast seating area. Otherwise, all was well. The upstairs rooms are a little cheaper.

Thanks for your review of our hotel, the service you received and the benefits of staying with us. Having that choice of restaurants within the easy walking distance is great - and Ric's Grill meets those expectations as well. Just a FYI, the breakfast room is coming soon - along with a new and improved breakfast. Keep posted & we'll see you again soon.

“Clean and convenient location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I stayed at this hotel while I attended training course at the University of the Fraser Valley. The room was very clean and even though it was on the freeway side I did not find the truck traffic noise to be too loud. The staff was friendly and helpful.

“Basic Comfort, Basic Breakfast, Comfortable mattress, friendly desk staff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

The Comfort Inn is in a good location for guests attending events at the Chilliwack Heritage Park. A basic 2 story motel with no elevator, no pool and no dining room or restaurant, it is convenient to the Trans Canada Hwy, and Cottonwood shopping center. We attended the Chilliwack Bluegrass Festival over the Labor Day Weekend, and this was a great location for us. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. We had a view of the mountains in the morning, but there are no amenities such as a pool so location is the main selling point. Continental Breakfast is served each morning and was typical-toaster waffles, toast, muffins, cholce of 3 cold cereals, 2 kinds of juice and coffee. Definitely adequate for our purposes, but there is no eating area so you have to carry breakfast back to your room.

Room Tip: Ask for a 1st floor room if you have difficulty with stairs, and on opposite side from the highway i...

Thanks for your careful review of your experience with us over the past weekend. Location, comfort and cleanliness are so important to any overnight experience. I appreciate your positive use of the "basic" evaluation - we have chosen to say that we provide "select" services as opposed to "full" services. Our team is very proud of the select services we provide and and are pleased that you found these to be the way they should be. You are correct, the good access to the highway does bring some highway sounds particularly if you are accustomed to a more rural, quiet home setting. And although no restaurant in the hotel, we are on restaurant "row" with selections from fast food to fine dining restaurants starting right next door - no need to drive anywhere! As to the breakfast not having a seating area, we are looking to our owners to make that change so that by next year's Blue Grass Festival there will be a new breakfast area with an upgraded hot breakfast. Stay tuned!! Thanks for staying with us and enjoying all that Chilliwack has to offer. We look forward to your return.

“Hotel does not have a breakfast area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

Hotel is located close to the interstate. I bet rooms are noisy at that side of the hotel. Nice lady at the reception desk gave us the room at the opposite side. The room was fairly quiet. Room was very clean, very large and with a big plasma tv. No fridge.
Breakfast was very good.THE APPLE JUICE IS DELICIOUS. The only surprise was the fact they do not have tables at the breakfast area. You have to take it to your room! At least, you have a free, very good, breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for the room far away from the interstate.

Thanks for the careful and thorough review of your experience at our hotel. Although some rooms are closer to the freeway, the concrete wall construction of the building is such that the road noise is minimized very much. As to the breakfast area for eating, that is something that our owners are looking at to make changes. Hopefully late 2011 or early 2012 we'll have a new breakfast room with seating plus more great breakfast options! Again, thanks for staying with us and enjoying our hotel and, I hope, enjoying all the good things that are part of a stay in Chilliwack, the Great Outdooors.

“A decent place to stay for a few days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2011

We used this as a base to explore the area. We stayed in a double queen room (109). It has a refrigerator and a microwave.
- Good: The room looks like it's been updated. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom area. Quiet interior. No kids running down the hallway.
- Bad: Room 109 faces the freeway = truck noise at night.
Breakfast is not as good as Holiday Inn, but I am not paying Holiday Inn prices.
The parking spot is right outside the room. You open the sliding door and get the shortest walk to the car to move luggage.
As a previous reviewer noted, the whole town smells. It's cow/goat urine and manure. I don't mind because someone needs to raise your meat and milk. Either that or get meat from China.

Room Tip: I talked to the front desk lady, the quiestest rooms are on the diagonal opposite end to Room 109.

Thanks for your detailed and careful review of your stay with us at our hotel - and I hope that your time in Chilliwack allowed you to see and enjoy the great agricultural benefits - fresh produce and foods! As to our breakfast, we're working on that to bring it up to another level over the next year as we improve our area to serve it as well. As with many hotels providing good highway access, our convenient access to the highway allows for some sound from traffic. The building is perpendicular to the highway so no rooms actually "face" the highway, but you are correct, room 109 is nearer to the vehicle traffic than room 142 at the far end away from the highway. So, if home is in a quite rural country side setting, you'll hear the traffic, if you're accustomed to downtown city sirens and traffic, all rooms will seem quite quiet. Again thanks for your stay with us and careful review.
