We stayed at this place going west and were put into a cabin with our group. It was adequate and had kitchen facilities which would have been nice had there been food available. The water smells terrible! On our return we were put into a room attached to the main building and it was horrible. It was very tiny, smelled badly, had the windows open but no screens in an area of lots of mosquitos and had no handles to pull the windows closed. There were inadequate outlets in the room and one of those didn't even work. No air conditioning so room was stifling with windows closed (had to go outside and push them closed). While we had made a reservation months in advance we were put into the terrible room and others arriving at the same time without reservations were given far better accomodations. Because there is no one in the office at night, guests are encouraged to simply "take a room" when they arrive and then settle up in the morning. This seems very loose and potentially not very safe for others staying in that same room area. The restaurant is mediocre at best. The "stew" special was so salty it was inedible. Only one person was working in the restaurant/check in area and therefore service for both was poor both at night and in the morning. We would never stay here again, especially given that there are other nice lodges in the area.
