“Friendly, convenient, inexpensive... Very Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Having stayed here at least 6 times, I continue to return as the rooms I have used have all been renovated and are always clean and comfortable. Doing business in Red Deer is much easier by not having to worry about what one might find in a hotel room. Floors are clean, bathroom is clean and while the bed is not luxury, it does give me, an average person in my opinion, a decent nights sleep. Free wifi, Shaw cable digital television and simple but good continental breakfast makes my stays here comfortable and very much inexpensive.
Six times 'lucky', looking forward to many more. Thank you Hojo Red Deer!

“A place to lay your head”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

If you are looking for somewhere to stay for a night in Central Alberta I would recommend the HoJo for a good no frills value stay.

The room was clean, service was excellent, and continental breakfast was adequate. I would only comment that the bed was hard.

“Peaceful, accomadating, quiet, and restful”

I've seldom stayed at a place where every night was uninterupted and quiet. The air conditioner worked, the staff was courteous, and the mornings were peaceful.

Thank you, Red Deer Howard Johnson!

Room Tip: Choose a place where you can tell that the staff care and will go the extra mile for you.

“It was perfect for our soccer team and we'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

The hotel was able to manage our team reservations without any trouble and made a big effort to make us all comfortable. The big green space between the two buildings was perfect for our team to warm up and play minimatches amongst themselves - which I think they did the entire time we were off the soccer field! The common room was perfect for our team lunch and the free breakfast was perfect to keep costs down! The staff was very accomodating and did everything they could to encourage us to come back... and where to stay will be an easy decision when we come back next year!

“No frills, but nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2011

We didn't expect any frills, and were happy to find a very friendly staff and clean, quiet rooms. They even had a nice grassy area where we could walk our dog, and a picnic table so we could eat outside. The breakfast was also quite nice.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back building are quieter!
