Very rude lady working in the breakfast area. I was making a waffle and let it cook a few seconds longer so it would be crispy and she started flipping out. At other locations the attendant suggested I leave it on a bit longer if I wanted it more done.

She managed to make an okay stay a poor one with her attitude and tone. People in the service industry should remember that they are there to provide SERVICE not attitude.

They do have somewhat clean rooms but the hall to our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and the water in the hot tub was less clean than I would like.

Finall thought: I would not stay here again.

I travel for work a great deal and I am always looking for a hotel that makes be feel comfortable and that I am treated like my business is important to them. From the moment I arrived I had that feeling. The front desk agent used my name, probably 5 times duing the check in. When I came back from dinner, she remembered my name again and asked how dinner was.

The rooms are comfortable and provided the comforts I needed...a good size desk, good lighting and a comfortable bed. Breakfast next day offered a nice selection and again, a very friendly breakfast person. I dont know if the manager hires great people or Medicine Hat really friendly people, but I will be back to this hotel.

One last thing, when I was checking out of the hotel, the young lady at the front desk used my name three more times. She proudly announced that the hotel was just awarded with a servive award from the brand. I know why.

I have stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites before and it is the only hotel that I will stay at in Medicine Hat. The ladies at the front desk know me by name are always freindly and and my room is spotless every time that I stay there. I travel extensively and this is one of the best hotels.

The hotel has a great location, just off the Trans Canada highway and is next to a mall, restaurants and even a Casino across the street.
There is no place like home, but this hotel comes close.

I recently stayed at the comfort inn and I will admit staying at the comfort inn was really not my first choice. I should have listened to my instinces.
I have NEVER been to a hotel that was constantly out of pool towels. So many different swimmers asked for towel and during the 2 hours I spent around the pool a total of 6 towel where brought in. Couple where sharing towel and many children were force to run back to the room dripping wet. The cleanness of the hotel really wasn’t up to my standards of clean. Ironic that it is called a Good start breakfast when in fact I would say it indeed ruined our stay and started my WHOLE families day in the wrong way.
