My sister and I went to Lethbridge to watch the postal curling classic. We chose this hotel because of the price and accessibility to the curling club.
Upon arrival check in was quick and easy. We were given room 221. Taking the elevator to the second floor already prepared us for what our room would be like. The elevator smelled like sewer and was absolutely filthy. Room 221 was even worse. It had a fridge, microwave, couch and two single beds. The beds had VERY old stained and extremely worn out bedspreads. The mattresses were extremely lumpy and both had a huge dent in the middle. Don't even get me started on the couch!!!! DISGUSTING!! The windows were so full of condensation you could barely see out of them and the sills had sawdust on them. The bathroom was even worse. The sink looked like it was straight out of a prison. This room was not remotely close to anything they portray on their website. We went back to the front lobby and Crystal who was working was very accomodating. We told her that the room was not sufficient and that it was not what their website had advertised. She gave us 2 rooms for the price of one. 2 adjoining single rooms. These rooms were down a very dark hallway and were a very slight improvement. There were still alot of stains but the mattresses were a definite improvement. I would not stay at this hotel again. Crystal was very helpful and very friendly. Had it not been for her we would have left. We heard many complaints from other people staying there as well. Very rundown and dirty hotel. We did not eat in their restaurant so I don't have anything to share about that. We also did not swim in their pool. Quite frankly I wouldn't allow my pet to swim in there either. Never ever saw anyone in the pool.
All in all----DON'T go there unless you're a construction worker and are tired at the end of the day and just want a bed to sleep in----although beware which bed you get!!
