We went to Lethbridge for a family wedding. We had booked our rooms in April and gauranteed them with a credit card(3 rooms) We ask for main level rooms and were assured that they would be available along with a cot. When we arrived, there was only one on the main floor which they gave to my friend, telling us that was the only one available, when clearly there were rooms unoccupied. When my son-in-law came in , the desk clerk's demeanour changed for the worst (my son is native and works for the feds) It was like they were predjuice against that race. They were told that there were no cots available and they couldn't get extra towels (2 adults and 3 children) They had to use 3 towels for 5 people. They were also given a room with no fridge and no microwave and again there were clearly rooms available on the second floor that had both. What would you call that. Their excuse was that the keys weren't working for those rooms. I worked 20 years for a small hotel chain in Winnipeg and I can tell you that all our rooms were available for a long weekend. All this happen after we had driven for 14 hrs. since 4;30 a.m. TO MAKE SURE THAT WE MADE IT THERE BEFORE 6 p.m. When I got home I called the hotel to speak to the manager(no one was available the whole time we were there which I find hard to believe)and was again given the run around, she on a conference call, she in the laundry room etc. Frustrated, I call the customer service and guess what, they took the side of the hotel, as much as calling me a liar and NOT ONE PERSON SAID "SORRY". The only good thing to come out of this all, was that my son had a beautiful wedding.
