“Rustic cabin with firepalce and marshmallows ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We had a nice rustic cabin at the resort ... with a real fireplace ... so marshmallows were on the list ...
The interior looks like back to 1970 ... but it still works well, it's clean and fits well with a rustic cabin.
Location is great ... so stay a couple of days ... go hiking and after that get soaked at the hot springs.
In our cabin were 2 Queen size beds but no separate rooms. You can get your privacy by closing some foldable wall/doors.
P.S The Hot springs doesn't belong to the resort, it's operated by the National Park, so you have to pay extra ... opening times you find on NP web site ... http://www.pc.gc.ca/voyage-travel/sources-springs/index/miette/miette.aspx ..

Room Tip: I believe it was cabin #7 ...

“Wonderful rustic gem surrounded by beauty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

The road to Miette is a motorcycle paradise and one of the best roads we took the entire journey to Canada. Tucked in the mountains, Miette is the perfect rustic hideaway. The rooms are old but beautifully taken care of and very comfortable. There is an onsite bar and restaurant that is both tasty and convenient. The hot springs is a quick jaunt up the road and easily reached by walking. The surrounding woods provides wonderful hiking and extreme beauty. This is a lovely spot that I hope to return to in the near future!

Room Tip: We were upstairs in the back. It was very quiet.

“Great spot”

Beautiful drive up the winding road (we were warned when making reservation that we need to buy groceries in Hinton) and the view around the cabins is great. This is a place for those who enjoy seclusion. We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the Chalet rooms with 2 double beds. It was cosy for 4 adults but it is a good deal. It was clean and we even had a tv. (laundry facilities also available!) The kitchen area with 4 bar stools was very convenient, supplied with all necessary items, we enjoyed our breakfasts here, and kept food in the fridge for preparing sandwiches for the hikes. It is a good starting point for visits closeby: the hot springs pools are a few minutes stroll away. Here is the trail head for the Sulphur skyline trail : this hike is very worthy. After a tiring day it was wonderful to sit down on the sunny terrace of the restaurant and enjoy a most excellent meal. Lots of delicious Greek entres and the best baklava of my life! And so we dined here every single night. Very friendly service and good espresso!

“Perfect setting! Great value!”

Great setting just next to the wondrous Miette Hot Springs. Very, very clean property...inside and out! Beautiful ride up the road from Jasper. We did our food shopping in town, which proved to be handy. A herd of mountain goats roams the area which is great fun for all to see. Off the grid which is delightful...time to just sit, soak in the wonderful pools nearby or hike...no need for internet!!! There is a payphone if you need one:). Already looking forward to our return.

“Rustic cabins surrounded by enormous beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

We stayed here for 2 days as a stopover on the train from Toronto to Vancover. If you are looking for the polished luxury of a Hyatt, this is not it. But what it does have is rustic charm, with an almost nostalgic quality. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. We ate one evening at the restaurant on the property. Food was very good. The other evening we cooked in the cabin with food from the grocery store in Jasper. Provided cookware was more than adequate. Plenty of scenic and interesting hiking is nearby as well as the hot springs. Thoroughly pleasant stay. The desktop on my phone is a picture of the mountains I took from in front of our cabin.
