Only stayed one night between trains and didn't take advantage of the kitchen facilities, after all we were on holiday so had breakfast downtown. Ashley and Soto very welcoming and dined at Downstream, Soto's restaurant. We wish them well in Greece next year for their wedding.

We consider ourselves very flexible and adaptable but we were disappointed in the quality of this accommodation. The owners were very polite and helpful....and offered lots of information about the town..... but only when they were there!!!!!!! The house itself was situated in a nice quiet residential area, an easy walk into town. However,
we had a large gloomy room in the basement, which was divided into a sitting area and bed area. It was disconcerting that the windows were high up and people passing by on the outside path could look down into your room, so therefore one had to keep the curtains semi closed most ot the time. The furniture was basic. The bed was very soft, and old soft pillows. We had brushed nylon pillowcases and sheets, which I thought had gone out in the 50's!! There was a kitchen area and a bathroom in the suite. The kitchen was basically a row of cupboards and nothing in the drawers, no utensils, nothing. The coffee machine didn't work.
We could microwave food in the shared kitchen (very pleasant and airy, as well as spotlessly clean), BUT the cooker would not switch on, and when we enquired why, we were told Health and Safety Laws said they couldn't let us use the cooker in case of fire! (Huh??? this is self-catering???). So if there were a few people in the kitchen at the same time, wanting to prepare food, you had to wait. Also had to wait for the computer (this was also in the kitchen area, so not much privacy there then). Not enough chairs in the kitchen either , which was awkward.
Our room was not serviced one day when we were there, and no-one was around to tell, when we came back, so we tidied things up ourselves. Glad to leave when we did.
We just got the impression that this was an inexperienced young couple, trying their hand at B & B, and provided only the basics, in order to make some money. A bit more comfort and thought and upgrading the room contents would make all the difference.

Was very pleased to find a place to stay in the town site, during the high season, without a minimum stay requirement . . . for $100/night. Recently spent two nights at this guest house, about a five minute walk from the downtown restaurants and shops. The room itself was simple - queen bed, tv, private bathroom. Very clean. Guests had access to a shared kitchen, that was also very bright and clean. Free wireless internet was appreciated. I would stay here again.

Good quiet location, about a 7 minute walk from the centre. Our room was quite small but was good value for Jasper. There is a spacious kitchen for preparing your own breakfast. Free coffee and free internet are provided. Ashley was a very pleasant and helpful manager. (Our only worry was a socket, in use, immediately behind the mattress).
