“Great place to stay in Jasper”

We stayed at the Glass House for three nights in late August, Its on a quiet street in Jasper within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars in town. We had the Garden Room which was very comfortable with tea/ coffee making and a fridge. Our hosts were really welcoming ,gave us loads of information about the area, tips on where to go and what to see, lending us guide books. We weren't disappointed. Breakfast was taken in the dinging room with the other guests , It was nice to swap stories and find out about their holiday experiences. The high point was the delicious breakfast, along with fruit, yoghurt and toast we got freshly made muffins, fruit breads and scones with enough left over to take away and eat for lunch. If we return to Jasper we will certainly want to stay at the Glass House again.

“Very Good B&B in Jasper”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

When I travel, I generally stay in B&Bs and The Glass House was one of the best ones that I've stayed at. I stayed in the Garden Room for 4 days; it was comfortable, clean and quiet with a large bathroom and a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfasts were excellent (including homemade breads and pastries) and they give you a paper bag to take the extra food with you for lunch (so, other than a sandwich at the Patricia Street Deli, I didn't need to spend any money on food during my stay). The location was within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Jasper. I would recommend the Garden Room in The Glass House to anyone staying in Jasper.

“Room for improvement”

After reading all the reviews we thought we would give the B&B a chance. We were traveling on motorcycles and liked the fact that the house is close to the restaurants and shopping.
We stayed in the Mountain Suite which is the most expensive. Upon arriving we were greeted and shown our room up the stairs. This is a loft, so it is open to the living room down stairs, but for the most part, you cannot see anything from below as there is a small wall and plants protecting the view. Unfortunately though, we did feel like the rest of the house could hear everything we did though, as the jacuzzi tub, bed and bathroom sinks are all open to below.
The space was clean and comfortable, but needs updating. The bathroom fan make's a terrible noise and the sink facets are in need of repair or replacement. It seems that there has been no upgrades to this room for many years. The breakfast itself was very good with fresh fruit and and baked goods.
Would we stay here again? Probably not as we would likely try a different B&B.

“Wonderful stay at our first B&B”

we stayed at the Garden room for 2 nights in July. this room had its own bathroom as well as a door for privacy and a sitting area. its located within walking distance to the main streets of Jasper. Tobi was an excellent host, offering excellent suggestions of what to go see and provided a delicious breakfast with enough left over to take with us on hikes. the TV was a little small (13") but if you're watching TV in Jasper, you really shouldn't be there in the first place. lol we weren't sure what to expect seeing as this was our first experience in B&B's but after a 2 night stay at the Glass House, we'll definately do it again and wouldn't hesitate in staying there during our next visit to Jasper. just a hint, do an evening drive on the Maligne Lake rd if you want to see lots of wildlife. ;-)

“An adventure, but we'd do it again in a heartbeat.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

My husband and I stayed in the Solarium room. As mentioned in other reviews the room is small and the shower and toilet are inside a closet with by-pass doors. Very creative use of space! I knew what to expect since I had read the reviews, so we weren't surprised. It was a little cramped getting ready in the mornings. The attached sun porch was a nice addition and helped relieve the claustrophobic feel of the bedroom. With a little ingenuity we were able to manage just fine. Everything we needed was there, small fridge, mirror, plenty of outlets, a place to hang things, but no shampoo. The reasons I would recommend this place are: Tobi the hostess -quiet and friendly, gave us great advice on sites to see; the very filling, delicious breakfast with leftovers to take with you; and it was a good value (especially considering we didn't have to buy breakfast or lunch) in a great location.
