The Sawridge Inn is an older hotel that has been well maintained over the years. It's probably the 2nd most expensive hotel in Jasper but you do get value for your money. The hotel itself is clean, welcoming, and the front desk staff are very pleasant. The parking at night is very limited in an outdoor parking lot and sometimes requires parking on the unlit street, which is not as safe if you're storing your skis in/on your vehicle. WiFi and parking are free. The beds are clean and comfortable. If possible, as for a room that faces outside as our room overlooked the restaurant which makes it noisier as well as lacking privacy as the rooms on the other side of the atrium looks directly at us too. The hotel is the first hotel on the road when you enter the town of Jasper from the east side. You can walk to town but it is the furthest of all the hotels in town (except the Jasper Park Lodge which is outside of the townsite).
The pool is indoor but they were renovating the jacuzzi tub next to the pool. The hot-tub which is in a separate room is very small.
The only complaint we had was upon check-in, my wife went to the restaurant to get a cup of tea to bring back to the room because I had a sore throat and cough. She paid $6 for 2 tea bags and a pot of hot water to go. When we entered the room, there is a kettle and tea bags supplied. It's nice and unexpected that the hotel provides this (plus a coffee maker) but it would have been nicer if the restaurant staff had told us this as well as it was clear we were taking it to the room and we charged the cost to the room account. During checkout, we mentioned this to the clerk but all she did was acknowledge that the restaurant should've known better.
