Have stayed at the Jasper Inn many times over the years. The hotel has been consistently a welcoming place to stay.
The rooms are well appointed, they are clean and if you have a loft room, then you will have a kitchen/ette. Most loft rooms have a fireplace as well. The rooms are not overly fancy, but are basic rooms with a good number of amenities.
The Room we had was a loft room with the bedroom in the loft. The hotel does not supply wood for the fireplace, but will allow you to burn the firelogs. Not nearly as romantic as a wood burning fire, but for safety and cleaning, I can understand where the fire logs are better.
The room was clean and even with the abundance of families staying at the hotel, the room was for the most part quiet. Some noise from the hallway, leaked into the room, but it was minimal.
The bathroom was very small, but water pressure for the shower was good. My only complaint is that the bedroom is in the loft, and the bathroom is on the main/entry level, so if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you are walking down the stairs.
The heat in the room was a bit inconsistent. At one point it was very warm in the loft bedroom at another point it was cold. I think that this has been an issue at the Jasper Inn for as long as I can remember going there.
Had breakfast at The Inn Restaurant. The buffet had the breakfast buffet basics, and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Overall the hotel was well run, and clean. The Staff were friendly to us, and made sure to ask us if we were enjoying ourselves (a nice personal touch). Rooms were decent sized, and everything in the room worked. The bathroom was small, but functional for one person. Parking on the property can be tricky as there are usually more vehicles than rooms and fewer stalls than rooms (at least on weekends). So you may end up having to park on the street. The rooms are not exactly upscale, and bordering on rustic, but they are clean.
