“Ski break in Jasper, excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The hotel was perfect. A 10 min walk into the main town or cheap taxi ride. Hotel staff very friendly, like the rest of Jasper and food good. We booked half board through Cristalski which offered us a reduced menu (but still good) and enabled us to eat in sister hotels around the resort which worked out really well. Couldn't fault the rooms for comfort and cleanliness and would definitely recommend it.

The resort is delightful and the skiing/boarding out of this world. Having been used to the European queues at lifts we were stunned by the empty slopes.

Hotel provides a courtesy bus to the slopes which we thought would be a bit of a drag but just 25 mins went in no time and it's well worth the ride.

The transfer to the airport took 5 hours there and 6 hours back (we stopped for refreshments at Lake Louise, Laggan's Bakery - food there was great too, especially the health cookies). On top of a 9 hour flight it was very tiring but on the way back it was light and the scenery through the Rockies breathtaking. So glad we got to see it.

Overall all a fantastic holiday.

“Mountain Park Lodges Deliver on the Promise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

You are always nervious trying out a new property for the first time, but found Mountain Parks Lodge's Chateau Jasper to be no risk at all. Very friendly front-desk service, convenient underground parking, tasty daily specials in the Silverwater Grill, immaculate big rooms, and great pool and jacuzzi.

It was only a quick stroll to the Jasper downtown core, and we saw an Elk one evening on one of the sidestreets coming back to the Chateau. The fitness center is quite limited, but who cares because there is a beautiful national park surrounding the place with countless activities outside (downhill and nordic skiing, skating, snowshoeing, tours, etc).

The lounge is really cool, trendy, and quiet - great place to grab a drink after skiing and curl up in one of the big chairs with the newspaper or an Anne Rice novel.

Great wireless in the room. and loved the modd waterfalls in the Grill.

Will absolutely try the other Mointain Park Lodges in Jasper - stay tuned.

Room Tip: there is an elevator and indoor parking so not a problem

“Lovely hotel ...lovely location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

The Chateau was a gorgeous hotel, with classic fittings and decor. Staff were so friendly - especially in the restaurant. Breakfast was amazing and good value for money and they made sure we got quick service in order to catch our bus tour as well. The location is great - totally a lovely walk into town and views to the Rocky Mountains. Clean room and public areas all really clean and light. Rooms a great size. It felt like a home away from home.
