We really enjoyed our three night stay in Jasper, and the Two Princesses Inn gave us the perfect base from which to explore the area.
The B&B is situated approx 1.5k's from the main shopping area of Jasper, but this only took about 20mins to walk in each day. Parking is free in Jasper if you wanted to drive in, and we never had any problem finding anywhere to park. Because it's situated away from the main town, it's also nice and quiet!
The Miette River room is a self contained room/studio with private entrance with everything you could need. As you walk in, there is a seating area with flat screen TV and DVD player with a selection of DVD's to choose from. Behind that is the Bed and then the kitchen area. There is no cooker available here but there is a microwave, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities as well as plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery. The bathroom is off to the right hand side of the room and has a shower over the bath, sink and toilet. There were also plenty of bath salts that were handy after the walking we did for my aching back! Thanks for those Colleen!
Each day whilst we were out, Colleen topped up the fruit, bagels, cereal, granola bars, tea/coffee, milk etc. so that everything was ready for the following morning's breakfast. Most of the time there was enough spare to take with us on our trips out.
The bed was also very comfortable and we had no problems getting a good nights sleep. The only downside was that although we stayed at the end of June/beginning of July, on a couple of mornings we had some frosts which meant that the room itself got quite cold. There was a throw available in the room that we ended up putting over the bed to help keep a little warmer at night. The main heating controls must be in the main house, so warm air would only come in to the room when the main house got colder. This didn't really cause us any problems, otherwise we would have mentioned it to Colleen, but we thought it would be a good idea for a small fan heater to be included the room in future, just for that extra bit of warmth.
Overall, we were happy we had chosen to stay here (based on the reviews from Trip Advisor!) and it was a great place from which to explore Jasper and the Rockies. We're currently working out if we can afford to come back to Canada next year, and if we do, we would certainly stop here again!
