“Clean, well presented studio appartment, would highly recommend!”

We really enjoyed our three night stay in Jasper, and the Two Princesses Inn gave us the perfect base from which to explore the area.

The B&B is situated approx 1.5k's from the main shopping area of Jasper, but this only took about 20mins to walk in each day. Parking is free in Jasper if you wanted to drive in, and we never had any problem finding anywhere to park. Because it's situated away from the main town, it's also nice and quiet!

The Miette River room is a self contained room/studio with private entrance with everything you could need. As you walk in, there is a seating area with flat screen TV and DVD player with a selection of DVD's to choose from. Behind that is the Bed and then the kitchen area. There is no cooker available here but there is a microwave, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities as well as plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery. The bathroom is off to the right hand side of the room and has a shower over the bath, sink and toilet. There were also plenty of bath salts that were handy after the walking we did for my aching back! Thanks for those Colleen!

Each day whilst we were out, Colleen topped up the fruit, bagels, cereal, granola bars, tea/coffee, milk etc. so that everything was ready for the following morning's breakfast. Most of the time there was enough spare to take with us on our trips out.

The bed was also very comfortable and we had no problems getting a good nights sleep. The only downside was that although we stayed at the end of June/beginning of July, on a couple of mornings we had some frosts which meant that the room itself got quite cold. There was a throw available in the room that we ended up putting over the bed to help keep a little warmer at night. The main heating controls must be in the main house, so warm air would only come in to the room when the main house got colder. This didn't really cause us any problems, otherwise we would have mentioned it to Colleen, but we thought it would be a good idea for a small fan heater to be included the room in future, just for that extra bit of warmth.

Overall, we were happy we had chosen to stay here (based on the reviews from Trip Advisor!) and it was a great place from which to explore Jasper and the Rockies. We're currently working out if we can afford to come back to Canada next year, and if we do, we would certainly stop here again!

“Perfect place To Stay”

This was the perfect place to stay to explore Jasper we're only sorry we were there for just 2 nights. The self contained Miete River Room provides everything you could need giving complete freedom with the knowledge that Colleen and Marc are there if you need them. We'll be forever thankful to Colleen for her Bear spotting advicve (go up the Pyramid Lake Road about 8pm) and will be sure to come back to Two Princesses next time we're in Jasper.

“The title says it all! Incredible Stay!”

Found within the beautiful landscape of Jasper's mountain range, you will find this incredible hidden gem. Two princesses Inn Hiking Boots goes beyond all expectations when it comes to the typical Bed & Breakfast. It has a great location (only a few minutes from the village center) and everything you need can be found directly in your self contained studio room.

Once you arrive at the Inn, you will be in awe of how self contained the studio really is. One of the main selling features of the Inn is that it has a separate outside door to enter your room. The living area is equipped with a 32" flat screen TV with a large variety of DVD's to choose from. There is a large selection of reading materials with a beautiful comfortable couch to enjoy your good read. All the furniture is clean and well placed, the entire studio works together to give you a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere that accompanies the great outdoor personality of Jasper, hence the "Two Princesses Inn Hiking Boots" combining elegance and outdoor adventure. The bed was very comfortable with more pillows then one can imagine, and the kitchen came fully equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, glasses, plates etc. Colleen also supplies the room with granola bars, bananas, bagels, water, and any other breakfast items she can think of. The bathroom is also supplied with high end soaps, shampoos, and towels. The tub and shower was very clean and fully equipped. The Inn will leave you with a positive impression that will stay with you well after your vacation is over.

After experiencing the warm hospitality of Colleen and her studio suite, I can honestly say there is no better place to stay while in Jasper. Two Princesses Inn Hiking Boots has great accommodations, great service and hospitality, beautiful furnishings and offers a great stay for a great price. You will not regret for one moment your choice when you stay at Two Princesses Inn Hiking Boots. Bonus points for the none “lame” insert generic B&B name here approach when thinking of a creative title e.g “Spruce Inn” or something among those lines.

Great Stay,

“Fantastic self-contained studio!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June 2010 and were very pleased with our choice. As previous reviewers have said, the Miette River Room is extremely well equipt with everything you could need during your stay. It is more like a self-contained studio than a room as it has a private entrance with kitchen area (sink/fridge/microwave/ coffeemaker/kettle/toaster etc), lounge area (lovely sofa/flat screen TV/DVD player) and full en-suite bathroom (great power shower over bath).

All the furnishings were of high quality/finish and everywhere was spotlessly clean. But the best thing about the room was that everything you could possibly need during your stay was provided ... The kitchen was stocked full of things to make your own breakfast incl bagels, fresh fruit, cereals and cereal bars, yoghurts, spreads, juice and water and also had helpful things like napkins, kitchen paper, washing up liquid etc. The bathroom was full of helpful items you may have forgotten that you could help yourdelf to. We didn't need to use these things but it was a really thoughful touch that we appreciated and the lounge area had DVDs / travel books / guides etc.

The only drawbacks to the room from my point of view were 1) You cannot control the room temperature yourself (hot air comes through vents in the celing) The first night was fine as it seemed to kick in when the temp dropped but the other nights it didn't seem to come on at all and we both felt cold. This probably could have been resolved by speaking to Colleen but we never seemed to be at home at the same time so we just got on with it. 2) Location is not as central as some B&Bs (about a 20min walk).

“Lovely stay.... Lovely location.... Lovely hosts.... Lovely Jasper!!!”

I had the pleasure of staying at Two Princesses Inn Hiking Boots for three nights one of them for the purpose of business and the other to take in Jasper!! Colleen was such an amazing and lively host and provided everything necessary to enjoy Jasper. I was placed in the Miette River Room, which was excellent as it had it's own entrance and was self sufficient. Being away from home as often as I am I appreciate a place where I can unwind and sink into a good book with a great cup of tea. It was also great to unwind in the bathtub with some wonderful soaking salts that were provided and the comfy bed. The fridge was stocked and ready for breakfast everyday and the popcorn left out for a snack was a great touch! Thank you to Colleen and her family for the beautiful stay. My trip in Jasper was a success because of it!!
