My husband and myself stayed here during an auction sale trip. Had booked thru "priceline.com" for the first time. I was a bit concerned at first as we had not used this online service before. You cannot stipulate any request when doing so and we really don't stay in hotels that are less than 3 star...or ones that don't offer king-size beds. So, I bid and took my chances. I was impressed that upon checkin, the desk staff upgraded us to a king-size bed. Initially when I had called the hotel to confirm, that morning, something I always recommend doing, I was told no king would be available. All- in all, an excellant place to stay and has a great location. Easy to find, close to all city amenties and walking distance to the largest theatre in the small city. Would stay again. The bedding was very nice! Room was clean and fresh, would like to see newer t.v.s in rooms tho. Our t.v was small and quite old-school.

The hotel was clean & comfortable. ALthough there were sports teams staying the weekend, I asked to be put far away from those teenagers, and the hotel was happy to accomodate me. I had a corner room on the 3rd floor which was spacious & comfortable. I never heard the teenagers at all which was impressive. Room was very clean and spacious for myself & 2 children (ages 9 & 10).
Pool was fabulous! Very clean, large pool area, nice changing/rest rooms. We spent alot of time in the pool and it was one of the best hotel pools I've ever used.
Restaurant attached to the hotel was very good. Food was tasty & filling. Service was great and the free deserts for children was a huge hit. Especially when they were willing to deliver to my room when my children were too full to eat right then.
Not a cheap place to stay (my room with 2 queens, fridge, mic etc) was $140.00/night, but I think it is the best place to stay in Grande Prairie.

JUST Okay!! I've stay in much nicer and better valued hotels!! Rooms were just okay and service was just okay but I paid more than it deserves.

I've stayed in nicer hotels in GP.... the one next door is a GEM!

I have stayed here about 20 times over the past few years on business. The hotel, in all honesty, is nothing special and is what I would call middle of the road. Granted it is probably one of the nicest (or the nicest) hotels in Grande Prairie, but their is simply no "wow" factor.

Like another reviewer I have been disappointed at seeing housekeeping staff smoking outside the rear entrance - not an appealing site. I have had room service here as well and found the quality sub-par and ofen cold.

Considering I will be coming to GP about once a month for the forseable future I have decided to try the HI Express up the road. I would recommend that hotel over this one.
