Chose this hotel as it was the venue of our meeting. Big mistake. Bad experience began at the airport. We saw the shuttle driver and decided to use their free service. We waited, and then were advised his van was full, but he would send another driver within 30 minutes. We were told we could have one drink each at the airport lounge while waiting for the other shuttle and the hotel would reimburse.
We debated waiting or just paying for a cab. The lack of waiting cabs made our decision for us and we went to the lounge. As time passed in the lounge, I figured I should call the hotel to confirm the shuttle was already sent. 20 minutes I was told.
20 minutes later, still no shuttle. Luckily, a cab was free outside, so we took that instead.
At front desk, they refused to cover the cab fare, despite the fact it was now 90 minutes after we landed (and would have been longer waiting for the non existent shuttle). They made good on drinks as agreed. But then wanted to photocopy all our drivers licences, giving us a changing story why it was required. Room was adequate, though the couch was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. No iron or ironing board in the room as I discovered before bed.
When I called to ask for one, they advised housekeeping was gone for the day, and to call in the morning. I called at 7:20 for an iron and board, and had to call 2 more times before one finally arrived at 8:10.
We had also been told (once when reserving the room and again in the dining room that morning) that we had a $10 credit for breakfast. Front desk at first balked at it, but eventually caved.
One of the worst customer service experiences. I will stay somewhere else next time I'm in town, even if that's less convenient.
