I stayed at the Green Acres Bed and Breakfast for three nights during a recent trip to the Edmonton area to visit my mother who has recently moved into a seniors residence and has no room for guests. I had wanted something closer to the town of Beaumont than a hotel room either in Leduc or Edmonton and found this hidden gem.
Green Acres Bed and Breakfast is located just a short distance south of the town of Beaumont, and is an easy commute to either Edmonton or the Leduc airport. It is on a large piece of beautiful property, very quiet at night, with no city noises. Even in winter with snow it was beautiful and pristine.
The hostess Brenda was very warm and inviting, she showed me to the suite that would be my home away from home. She provided me with a key so that I could come and go when I wanted.
The room was spacious, with a queen sized bed, a desk, Wall mounted TV with satellite service, there was also a small fridge, that was stocked with cold drinks and water. There were 2 comfortable chairs for watching TV, if you didn't want to lie on the bed. The ensuite bathroom was fully equipped with tub, and shower. There was an abundance of counter space and a window for natural light.
During my stay there were 2 other guests, but they were so quiet I didn't hear them or see them.
As this was the "off season" Brenda was unable to provide breakfast, and the room rate she quoted me reflected that. In the town of Beaumont there are sufficient places to get breakfast for my needs.
I will be returning frequently to visit and staying at the Green Acres Bed and Breakfast will be my first choice for futures stays. This may have been my first visit to a B&B, but after this it won't be my last!
