My family stayed for two nights, July 15-16, to attend a wedding at the nearby Eagle Rock golf course, and some related family functions in south Edmonton.

Brenda is a convivial hostess and she is happy to answer any questions you may have to help make your Edmonton stay a great one.

Her home is impeccably clean. You will be asked to leave your shoes at the front door, so you may wish to bring your own slippers.

We had the two rooms on the second storey. Both had a comfy queen bed, TV, DVD player, and bar fridge stocked with soft drinks and a jug of distilled water. The smaller room had a standard tub/shower combo and the larger room had a separate shower and whirlpool tub, as well as an enormous amount of closet space and an extra easy chair.

Brenda was unable to be there to serve breakfast on the first morning, so she showed us how to turn on the coffee maker, and left us hard-boiled eggs, ham, cheddar cheese, homemade muffins, orange juice, yogurt, and a selection of cold cereals. On the second morning she prepared pancakes with fresh blueberries and sausages.

Due to our cramped schedule, we were unable to enjoy the beautiful grounds, so here's a tip: As you are driving from the airport, rather than taking that final turn east toward Green Acres, continue north into Beaumont where you can pick up all the fixings for a great picnic. Then check in at Green Acres and take some time to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings and your yummies al fresco.

Brenda is a wonderful host and very welcoming to her beautiful home. It is a relaxing place to stay with wonderfully maintained grounds to walk around. My husband and I stayed in the large basement suite and were pleased to find a fireplace, small kitchen with drinks provided and popcorn, plus DVDs to watch on the large flatscreen TV. It was a comfortable and quiet place to sleep, and we woke up to a tasty breakfast. We will be back again.

How many properties have you seen that have ALL excellent reviews? The reviews say it all. Beautiful setting, very clean comfortable room, extremely friendly hostess, simple tasty breakfast. You can't go wrong.

Green Acres B&B is a great place to stay, to wind down from city life, or quiet place to stay just outside the city. The host Brenda is very hospitable and made it a very enjoyable stay. My husband and I stayed in the master suite with the jetted tub which we really enjoyed. She makes great breakfasts- her eggs benedict was really tasty! A great place to stay overall!:)
