We went to Edmonton for a break over the Christmas holidays with the family and were very impressed with this hotel. Kara the front desk manager that served us was very accommodating and even had beach balls for the kids. The hotel is just a couple blocks away from the West Ed Mall.

The hotel is well maintained and very clean. We were given an wheelchair accessible room so we could have a little more space. The full free breakfast was top notch and you can order directly off the menu. This is not a cheap continental breakfast. Terrific waffles, the kids ate them every morning. The free breakfast saved us a substantial amount over other places we have saved considering we were paying $19 per adult and $12 per child later in the week in Banff.

We would definitely stay there again.

I always find the folks here helpful, the rooms nice and clean, and each stay is straightforward and efficient. Really good value for the money.

The Hilton met our expectations. We went for a weekend trip to West Ed mall. After reading about the bed bugs at the Fantasyland Hotel, we opted for the Hilton instead. It was clean, close to West Ed and less expensive. You can buy a package that includes breakfast and two tickets to a West Ed attraction. The room was like any standard hotel room and included free internet and newspapers. Breakfast included a buffet and hot a la carte items; the server was very attentive. They also didn't make a fuss about letting us check-in really early.

A few small drawbacks: our room on the third floor was hot even with the heat turned off. We could also hear people walking around on the floor above us; it was a bit noisy, but I've been in other hotels that were a lot worse for noise.

I would stay there again if we were going to West Ed. If you don't need to be close to the mall though, stay at one of the hotels on the river downtown.

Finally! A hotel that actually does what they say!
I travel a lot and haven't had much luck with hotels my last few stays. That said, we decided to switch chains and try a Hilton. All I can say is WOW.
Our room was everything promised and the breakfast was incredible.

TIP: ask for your breakfast included in your room price. Well worth it and it's all cooked to order beautifully! The cooked to order also Included an amazing buffet with pastries, fresh fruit, etc. Our server was Paula and was probably one of the best servers I've ever seen. She was always there exactly at the right time. All of the staff truly seems to enjoy their jobs as it reflects in the service.
The room was perfectly clean and the shower head was perfect after a long day. We weren't thrilled with the comfort-dial bed. Even adjusting the dial didn't do much. I far prefer a pillow-top. However, the linens were exquisite.
After this first experience... We're switching to Hilton.
