We had two queen beds, 1 tv, climate control, bathroom, coffee maker and fridge. And still had lots of room to walk around.
Only two things to worry about was the wireless internet and the fridge. The fridge seemed to be worn out, it wasn`t very cold on it`s coldest setting, and they throttle the internet here, whether you are wireless or wired. So anytime their system think`s you`re downloading something huge, the speed goes down to 30kb/s. This makes watching youtube and loading games hard.
I can see why they might do this though. People downloading things illegally through bittorrent, and the hotel has probably gotten a few letters about their bandwith usage. They could solve this problem by just throttling the bittorrent protocol, not the whole internet. You can't even upload a bunch of photos to facebook, after uploading the first few, it just slows down to a crawl.
A/C and heater isn't that loud, and you can just leave it on at night, it cycles on and off and it's pretty quiet. It didn't wake me up at night even though I was sitting in the bed closest to the window. TV had a great cable signal.
It's also 10 min away from the west edmonton mall in the afternoon. Can't beat that. Also right on the corner of the Yellowhead Hwy, so it takes us right back to BC, where we are from.
The continental breakfast isn't much, but on par for what a lot of a hotels serve. You also get a coupon that you can use $2.00 of a breakfast entry in the 24hr truckstop restaurant. I didn't eat the breakfast there, but I did go to the truckstop buffet on the second morning. It's normally $9.50, but with the coupon you can get all you can eat is $7.50. It's the cheapest buffet around!
We got in late the first night and ate at the truckstop restaurant, but the food wasn't all that impressive. It was 10:30 at night, and the breakfast looked a lot better. Different cook, i Guess.
