“One of the better choices in Edmonton”

This review is written by a business travel who frequents Marriott and Hilton-brand hotels in North America and around the world. This review is based on 5 or more single-night stays.

Pros:
- New (opened in 2010/2011) hotel - new linens, decor, etc.
- Good service from front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Spacious rooms with plenty of storage, light, and furniture to relax or work.
- Fast wired or wireless in-room Internet.
- Plenty of HD and non-HD channels to choose from on LCD TVs.
- Spacious bathrooms with curved shower curtain bar.
- Numerous restaurants and shopping nearby (car required, as the blocks are large).

Watch-out List:
- Service in the lobby restaurant is definitely hit-or-miss - good depending on your server.
- Very minor: would have been nice if the bathroom had been designed with an overhead light - it is a little dark.

When it comes to Marriott-brand hotels in Edmonton, this far exceeds the Courtyard Marriott Downtown in terms of age, decor, and cleanliness, but it is a little more expensive. It is as nice as the Marriott at the River Cree (which has an older/more classic decor); however, it has the added advantage of being a little closer to downtown (should your business require you in that vicinity). Overall, this is one of the best choices of hotel in Edmonton.

“Clean and Pleasant”

We stayed on the second floor. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Room darkening curtains. There were plentiful pillows and the mattress was comfortable. Noise from the hallway and other rooms minimal.
The wifi worked great.
In the restaurant, the food was served in generous quantities and the coffee was excellent, served in oversized mugs. Service good.
Shopping and other food establishments are nearby.
I would definitely return.

“Excellent Place to Stay!”

Great service at this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We like the trendy feel of the rooms and attention to detail that this hotel provides. An included breakfast would make this hotel even better.

“Great hotel. Clean and modern”

We loved this hotel. Right from entering, with free parking and free wi-fi, its modern, clean and trendy.

Everything we asked for was ready for arrival. The rooms are a nice size, king sized beds are comfy and large, rooms are spotless and they have air-con, 60 channels plus on tv, digital radio, nice toiletries, good deco, quiet and comfy.

The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 was that I was really disappointed with the pool area. The pool is tiny - and I mean tiny! It's more of a hot tub size than a pool. I wanted a swim and after 2 strokes, is reached the other side!! It's 4 feet deep and about 10 feet long!! They also had no changing rooms! The only one shower is pool-side.

Ideal place to stay if you are visiting West Edmonton Mall.

Highly recommended
