“Perfect location if you have business to take care of at the University of Alberta”
I had numerous meetings to attend at the University of Alberta and wanted to stay somewhere close to campus. I was surprised that this hotel is actually on campus and was close to the buildings where my meetings would be held. I had requested an early check-in and all went smoothly. I stayed in the junior suite. It was clean and had everything I needed (e.g., dishes, cutlery, cups, microwave, stove, bar fridge). The furniture, however, was dated and looked like it was shipped in from one of the residences. The bed was comfortable. Elevators are really slow. Night staff are unfriendly. The price is a little high, but well worth it as I saved time and money by staying on campus. There is a great (and very affordable) restaurant called Upper Crust Cafe located within walking distance. If you don't want to eat out, you can purchase food from the Safeway or Sobey's nearby. If partying is your thing, Whyte Ave is close, although you have to walk at least 20 minutes to get to a bar.
I would stay here again if I had business to conduct at the University of Alberta.
