I stayed here because my Uncles friend owns this hotel. We were told we would get the 'family' deal. Upon arrival, the front desk was friendly and suggested that we take this room as the room with the king bed was 'too cold'. We arrived to this basic room that we paid the higher price for. The beds were hard and uncomfortable.
The interesting thing is my brother checked in after us and they were given the room with the King bed that was down the hall from us. Its interesting because the bad room was suggested to us as the 'only' better room located on a different floor was to cold and he managed to get the better room that didn't exist an hour before.
We called the front desk to have this conversation with them and they sent a security gaurd to our room to check out the condition. BECAUSE I had a shower, they said they would not upgrade us as the room was unrentable and that the rest of the hotel was booked solid. Ohhhhh and the security gaurd didnt knock upon entry and just let himself in.
NOW...remember, my uncles friend owns this hotel.
In the morning when we had breakfast with our $10 voucher, we ordered the only Western Combo Omlette on the menu that my brother had ordered ahead of us. His came with cheese as he arrived 15mins ahead of us. We pointed on the menu that we wanted 2-western omlettes. The waitress brought us 2-western omlettes with NO cheese. We were confused as my brothers came with cheese. She said we never requested the "combo". I worked in the service industry for years as a server and her responsed baffled me. Her only suggestion of fixing this problen was to add unmelted cheese to the top.
Remember.......My uncles friend owns this hotel and apparently they are GOOD friends.
Upon checkout, the frontdesk lady never asked us how our stay was. We asked her if the hotel was sold out and she told us that there was X amount of rooms available.
At this point, if your Uncles good friend owns the hotel and they still treat you like complete crap....how will they treat the clients that dont have any connections?
I was so disapointed with this stay and I wish there was a Motel 6 in the area because I would of stayed there ANY DAY!
