We went to Edmonton to get away and do a bit of shopping. The hotel we normally stay at was booked up, so we decided to try another hotel in the same price range. As soon as we arrived, I knew it was a mistake. The room was very hot, and the thermostat could not be adjusted. It was very uncomfortable!! There was constant noise in the hallway on our floor, and doors slamming until 4 a.m. The hotel room was in bad shape, and we could not even open a window to cool off. Also, there wasn't a fridge or even an alarm clock in the room. And to top it all off, we could not shower in the morning because they were having problems with the hot water. We waited another hour with no luck but had to check out because we were meeting up with our family at the mall. I thought that the hotel would offer some type of discount for the problem, but they did not. We had a similar experience in Banff last summer where the air conditioning wasn't working throughout the hotel, and the hotel gave every guest a discount upon checking out. But not here! Overall, we had a very bad experience at this hotel.
