We needed to stay close to the mall and were not interested in staying right in the mall at Fantasyland Hotel (too expensive and horrible place to stay, read all their reviews if you don't believe me!)

This is close enough to the mall and was easy to find. I was very impressed with the service, they were outstanding - probably the best service I've had from a hotel. Upon entering the room, I was also pleased that it was very clean and didn't have a heavy smell of perfumed spray. We stayed in Room 125 which is on the first floor and a couple of doors down from the pool and exercise room. Noise was not a problem actually. We had 3 teens with us and we arrived late (almost 10) but the front desk staff agreed to keep the pool open an extra hour for the kids which was great. There was 2 computers in the games room with free internet access which our teens appreciated. The gym is open 24/7 and it looked like pretty nice equipment, but remember to bring your shoes, as I didn't! We ended up needing a cot and they brought one right away and didn't charge us extra for it. It actually looked like a pretty new cot, my 14 yr old daughter slept in it and didn't complain.
The bathroom is small - the sink is outside though so it does facilitate everyone getting ready faster as you can send the next one in to shower and still have the mirror to shave/brush teeth, etc.
The continental breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff there as well.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a decent, clean hotel, good for kids, and reasonably priced, this is the way to go.

Stayed here for two days while visiting West Edmonton Mall. I have done a fair bit of business travelling and have stayed in higher end hotels. This hotel by far surpassed some of the high end hotels I have stayed in. The hotel staff were extremely friend, the room was meticulously clean and it was a great stay. Well managed hotel!

Pro:
This property is close to shopping/food, half a block from the hotel. It is roughly a block south to the Edmonton Mall.

The room is great - newly renovated with granite countertop and new tiles/carpets.

Great breakfast - good selection of cold and hot items.

Con:
Small bathroom, barely to move around easily.

As I said, the hotel is under going reno expect some noise from it. It did not bother me much durng the 3 nights stay.

I booked on line and tried to cancelled 2 weeks prior to my stay and was told it was not refundable ---$148.00 night - not a cheap rate for an OK hotel . Very bad policy.
