My husband and I aren't super picky about where we stay. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was its proximity to the University of Calgary, where he was going to be taking an exam the next morning.
Overall our experience was great -- front desk/management people were very friendly and helpful, the rooms/beds were comfortable enough. The breakfast wasn't 5 star by any means, but was generally fine. (The waffles were a little scary though... I couldn't cut through them.)
The pool was pretty small and quite cold, and the hot tub was luke warmish. But as I said, we aren't terribly hard to please, so this wasn't a huge deal for us. (We were just excited to have a night away sans kids!!)
If you aren't planning on an extended stay, this is a great place for a quick overnighter.
