We spent one night in Calgary and wanted to stay at the Fairmont Palliser due to the location. It is located closed to everything you need in Calgary.
Arrival was no problem. We dropped the car off at the Valet Service and checked in. All this was uneventful and smooth.
We had the room on the third floor and once we came around the corner to "our hallway" we saw a cart with food and a spare bed in the hallway. So we passed it thinking it was cleaning time and everything would be gone shortly. Well, the food was taken around 8 PM (we checked in at noon) and the bed stayed in front of our room the whole night and when we checked out at noon the next day it greeted us as well. Not very nice to look at.
The room itself was nice and big. No seperate shower in the bathroom, but that was OK.
The bed was not comfortable. It was soft and the sheets came off way to easy once you moved.
The A/C in the room does not have enough power for the big room.
Checkout was no problem.
When the Valet brought us our car he wanted to give the lady next to us the key as she was there first and he did not thing that we owned/rented a nice car like that. I walked up and wanted to say thanks and he said "This is not your car, I will get that later". Well it was and I did not like the attitude.
We had room service as well and the food was excellent. It was fresh and tasted great. We had to wait for 40 minutes but we where told that it would take that long when we ordered and it was well worth the wait!
