Overall very good stay at the Calgary Marriott. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and felt cozy coming in from the cold. Only complaint would be that it would be nice if they had humidifiers in the rooms. The winter air in Calgary is very dry so it would have been nice (and make it easier to sleep) had there been a humidifier. I didn't ask for one so not sure if the humidifiers are availbale or not.

Other than that I recommend this property although I prefer the location of downtown Sheraton.

My friend and I chose the Marriott hotel for a girls weekend out in Calgary. We were very pleased with our decision!
We paid the extra $25 for valet parking which was a good choice considering how expensive it is to park in Calgary!
The hotel itself is very lavish looking. The lobby is huge with tons of couches to sit on. Our room with two double beds was SO SPACIOUS! We could have had our dance party in there :P
Bathroom was super clean and nice.
Staff is super friendly and prompt in answering questions.
Our only qualm was that when we were leaving and called ahead to get our car out of valet- no one came and told us it was ready! It had been parked ahead of the view from the lobby, so we couldn't see it from where we stood/sat. We actually found out it was parked there by nonchalantly walking outside.
Other than that- totally worth the price.

I just got back after a 1 night work conference that took place at the attached Telus Convention Centre. Check-in was fast, the room was clean, and is located in the heart of Downtown. Although the decor is outdated, the room was clean, and the bathroom had lots of fluffy towels and Bath and Body Works toiletries. The bed was soft, and linen plush..... I would recommend earplugs, because you can hear people talking in the hallway.

I didn't check out any of the hotel's amenities... but wireless is free in the lobby or available in-room, for a steep fee (~$15). Check-in kiosk is available in lobby... Transportation via taxi to the airport costs about $36 CAN Service was friendly and helpful, and courteous.

This is a good hotel; there isn't anything that makes it outstanding, but is certainly more than adequate for the average traveller

I stayed four nights at the Marriott Clagary Downtown Hotel. This hotel is pretty much like all other Marriotts over the world. Rooms are clean, front staff helpful (with the exception of some "agents" patrolling the reception area for people sitting on armrests or side tables and consequently chasing them off in a rude way) recreation nice and convenient. The best is of course the location right in the centre of the city. Just avoid the starbucks in the morning hours: people from outside flock to the coffee house forming endless blabbering lines. Pure stress and most annoying. Better invest in 25CAD for a buffet bfast- worth the money!
