I stayed at the Greenwood from Feb 1 to Feb 10. I was in town for some training and was put up in the hotel for 2 weeks. My stay was comfortable with only a few complaints.
First off I found the bed very comfortable, no complaints there. The service was good and my room was clean. The in room coffee is crap so I suggest you bring your own if you really love homemade coffee in the morning...otherwise there is Rotten Ronnies and Timmy Ho's within close proximity to the hotel. There is a decent mall not far, movie theatre, restaurants, you name it, all within the area.
The only complaints about the room itself was the heat controls. I like my room at 21 degrees and I could not for the life of me get it to that temperature. It just automatically reverts back to 20, so that was quite irritating. The hotel food wasn't so spectacular, I only ate there out of convenience. I would like to give a special shout out to Ron the server in the lounge.....seems like he ran the place actually because he was everywhere! Thanks for your service Ron! During happy hour in the lounge they always had free appetizers which was a nice snack to go with the much needed beer after a long day of training.
One more complaint I have is that you could hear absolutely everything going on in the hallway. Some of the busier nights all I did was listen to doors slamming and people talking; drove me nuts! It was not like this every night and it usually quietened down after 11 pm.
Other than that the rooms were average, nothing fancy, but comfortable. The pool is small as well as the jacuzzi but they never were very busy. There is a nice little weight room with a couple treadmills, elliptical, and two exercise bikes. It was pretty decent. Oh and the room had a little beer fridge which was super convenient for a long term stay.
Overall was a decent stay. The price might be a little high for the age of the rooms and the averageness of the hotel. Could definitely use some upgrading.
