We went to Calgary for a quick family get away. I searched on the net for hotels in the area and found this one. It had really good reviews and I found that after Stampede Week, they were offering a 20% discount. It came out to the price of a budget hotel. The room was with 2 queen beds, was very clean and presented well when we first walked in. There was no visible wear and tear, the bathroom was modern and clean, with great water pressure. Nice comfortable bed with plenty of extra pillows and bathrobes. AC worked fine and was quiet. house keeping was great, always changed bedding and always lots of fresh towels. One downfall of room was that the TV was an old retina burner. Room had high-speed connection and wireless, both of which was fast and un-interrupted. Very friendly front counter staff, quick check in and out. very prompt room service. Only other downfall being that the restaurant on-site was a little pricey. Can't comment on other shops as didn't go to them. Great location for all the attractions we were going to such as zoo, callaway park, calgary tower and shopping and watching movie at the Chinook Centre. Would definitely stay again.

We had a last minute business meeting in Calgary, and needed to be in or near downtown. Downtown hotels were about double the price of this one and were booked up on king sized beds. This was a reasonable alternative. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a comfortable bed, although the lobby area was oddly organized and a bit past it's glory. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and parking was free. It's a straight shot down McCleod Trail to downtown... about 8 - 12 minutes. The hot breakfast buffet is fine, very basic-- they gave us free vouchers unexpectedly... don't be looking for a cappucino though!

We stayed at the Carriage House Inn just this past weekend while in town visiting friends. They advertise on a site linking travelers to pet-friendly hotels- as we have a small dog, this was important to us.
Check in was very quick and easy- parking was easy to access, and plentiful. Room decor is dated- was happy with pillow-top mattress and large window. Bathroom was nicely re-done w/upgraded amenities. Very pleased with the dog welcome package- including homemade dog treat and many pamphlets & info on dog parks/vets, etc.
Only stayed one night- didn't have a chance to check out fitness area, pool was closed for season.
Had dinner in their dining room- absolutely delicious. We were the only people in there under the age of 60 though... must be popular with local seniors!
One complaint: Room smelled musty- not sure if we were assigned a room that was previously a smoking room (hotel is now completely non-smoking) or if perhaps the odor was from some sort of pet disinfectant used after the last guest. Whatever the smell was, it bothered my sinuses!

Stayed here for three nights which we found to be comfortable for our ages( 65 & 69)for a family wedding which was being held at this hotel. As we were wedding guest we were charged a special rate $145.00 per night PLUS $14.63 per night for GST tax,Destination marketing fee & Alberta Marketing fee. The room was large with two comfortable beds. A good selection of food in the restaurant at reasonable prices for a hotel.Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean in all areas.
