On a recent visit to Calgary, I explored part of the large Fish Creek Provincial Park that stretches 20km across the southern part of the city. I later discovered that it's one of the largest urban parks in North America. It winds along the Fisk Creek river valley with a mix of forest, grassland, cliffs and hills. Great walking and cycling trails allow you to explore every part of the park. I recommend this as a great place to explore, if you're ever in Calgary.
