Adequate is the best way to describe this hotel. Decent location, average rooms. Other than a couple light stains on the carpet, the room/hotel was pretty clean. Moxies restaurant is attached and very good. They have a nice sports bar/lounge on the 2nd floor too. fitness centre is simplistic and a little dated. Pool was decent but hot tub wouldn't work for us. We didn't ask about it though. Front desk staff were very courteous and friendly. Parking has in and out privelages for $16. Connected to Calgary's +15 walkway was a treat since it was so cold out when we visited. I'd look for something a little nicer next time but would be fine with staying here again.

Stayed at the Sandman, Calgary for 3 nights on a recent business trip. The hotel was conveniently located close to our client, and relatively inexpensive. Overall the hotel, room and restaurant was a bit run down and tired. One thing to be cautious of is to make sure you are not charged for items other clients bill to their room at the Moxie's restaurant located in the hotel. I found a $40 charge on my bill from this restaurant that wasn't mine ...

I flew in for a 2 night stay after having been awake some 40 hours in transit. The staff were fantastic, had me up to my room quickly on the top floor which was spacious and comfortable with a welcome king size bed. In the morning breakfast was downstairs at Moxys Bar and Grill, the waitress who served me was fantastic and rewarded with a large tip to boot.

The hotel is situated on the 7th avenue tramway, travel along this avenue is free, great if you're planning to shop. Across from the hotel is a Macs convenience store, subways and macdonalds for those wanting quick bites, there's also a lot of restaurants in the vicinity to choose from.

An enjoyable stay was had here.

Stayed here in September 2011. Good size comfortable room. Conveniently located for Calgary attractions - easy walking to shops and other venues like Calgary Tower. Used Moxie's restaurant on site for dinner and food good. Tim Horton's across the road for morning coffee and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parking on site a very reasonable cost. Would stay here again.
