When we arrived we found out they had mixed up our reservation ..pretty big hassle getting it figured out but staff were friendly, not exactly knowledgable but friendly! After that we ended up having to fix our own shower that the screws were too loose to use it. Not a big deal but add it to the rest of the things that went wrong. Worst of all ...we were woken at 8am while on vacation by a housekeeper barging into the room to see if we had checked out yet! Who, unless there on business would be gone then? A little communication between front desk and hk wouldn't hurt! The girl at the front desk apologized but had no idea how to resolve it so we took our apology and will never be back!

our room was by the poolside. location was great. close to downtown, to calgary zoo and chinook centre. i was with a two year old and he loves the pool. the pool wasn't too big but was a good size! I also like to add that i always love the beds and pillows(having the option to have a soft and firm kind)...holiday inn is always very comfortable to stay in.. plus, if you love japanese restaurant, it's about a minute walk, a&w is pretty close too and of course 7eleven...

i'd also like to add that their customer service was excellent....thanks...will be staying again next time we drop by Calgary.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Alberta, and it was an excellent choice.
We arrived 3 hours earlier than their check in time, and the staff member who was working at the time was very nice, and gave us a room right away. Our room was clean and comfortable and a good size. Hotel was easy to get around in as it is small. Restaurant was a little expensive for the quality of food, but not too bad. Hotel is located very close to downtown and the Chinook center which was perfect. They also offered free parking for our rental vehicle which almost never happens. On the day we left they offered us a late check out for free since we had a late flight out of Calgary.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Calgary and we will definitely come back when we return!

I enjoyed our stay in Calgary at this hotel. The front desk staff and anyone else we asked for help from was very friendly and accommodating. the rooms and hallways were very clean. We ordered room service twice and the service was very fast and the food was great. The only issue I had with our stay was the softness of the beds. Mine was too soft for my liking and seemed a bit old...I rolled towards the middle a lot during the night.
All in all a very nice stay though. I'd go back certainly.
