“Fantastic place to stay right in the deep snow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I had a 3 night stay here and it was excellent, it started with a room upgrade from the basic room to a queen which was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good facilities and the staff were very helpful. There are plenty of rooms to choose from in this place from a basic room to something with 2 bedrooms, a fireplace and a kitchen which i stayed in 10 years ago and was also fantastic. They have a huge indoor pool, spa and sauna which are sooo great after a long day of skiing. The timberwoolf restaurant has great food, especially their pizza's. The bar downstairs is great also i had their chick-inn sandwich which is one of the best sandwiches i've had in a long time. The hot chocolate and baileys is great too!
I was there the last weekend of January and this is the time that they have ice sculptures, the competitions and carving are the second last weekend in January and i would book your trip around these dates if you are planning a trip for next year.
Overall i had a fantastic stay here and will be going back in a few weeks and many times again after that! There is also a bus that runs every half hour from the hotel to the ski hill which made life very easy rather than finding parking at the ski hill, especially on saturday an sunday.

Room Tip: If you are an early sleeper don't get a room that overlooks the pool. Even though it closes at 1...

“Good Value”

I spent a few days here at this hotel on a cross country ski trip and was pleasantly surprised. Our rooms were ready when we arrived at noon. Our room was spacious and clean with two queen beds. Staff was very happy to bring us robes. A tip: try to get a room in the main building as all the facilities are there: swimming pool, steam room and hot tubs - that way you can access them easily and not have to walk outside from the other buildings. Internet is free. Breakfast was good value: a continental that included porridge and waffles as well as fruits and cheese selection and various breads and pastries and coffee! While this place is not of the same category as The Post, it offers good value and is a decent place to stay.

“Many Room Options available”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

For Cheap, Clean, and Safe Lodging, this is a good choice.

I have stayed at Lake Louise Inn a couple of times, most recently January 2012. It is a relatively large hotel complex with a number buildings and different styles of rooms, from small and cheap to more costly lofts with kichenettes.

I recently stayed at the cheapest room, $90.00 on a weekend night, in a building known as The Pinery.

Lake Louise is a very expensive place. There is nothing cheap or cost effective about Lake Louise. So if you want cheap accommodation, that's clean and safe, with good service, you will not beat the low end rooms at Lake Louise Inn at $90.00 a night. Can you get more for less in other cities? Yes, but not at Lake Louise. If you want to play here, you best have some disposable income.

The room is very small. It has very old furnishings. The bathroom is very small and does not offer much for privacy from the bed area. You can hear people walking above you and the walls are very thin. The TV is old. The beds are small and not very comfortable. However, this must all be balanced with the cheap cost, given the price of Lake Louise generally.

Please keep in mind this hotel has lots of different options based on what you want to pay when you read other reviews. The Inn is is not The Chateau Fairmont, but its also not anywhere near its price category.

The exterior is a bit ugly and dated. The pool is not very nice or private as it has large windows that look right into the main lobby. There are a few different restaurants and a nice pub for eating options and the food is good.

I would not recommend the cheapest rooms for a lengthy stay or a stay with kids. Too small, old and cramped. That being said, in order to save some cash for skiing, I would stay here again.

Room Tip: There are many room options available. You get what you pay for. Pay cheap - get cheap. Pay more, ge...

“Good service, upgrade to the executive king and unchanged sheets.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

My wife and I just stayed one night at the Lake Louise Inn as we were attending a conference there in town. We had very nice service when we arrived. We arrived very late and checked in.

There were two queen beds in our room. The good news is although the room looked somewhat old and worn, it was clean. Especially the bathroom. My wife got ready for bed and crawled in. I had some work to do so I opened the bed sheets on the second queen and noticed long, black hairs, and body hairs (this was about 1am). Obviously the sheets had not been changed.

Anyway, I mentioned this to the front desk the next morning (as I did not want to wake my wife) apon check out and all the lady sad was "sorry" twice. Since we stayed in our room and were in a hurry, I did not raise a fuss or ask for the manager.

All that I reccommend is that you check your bed before getting in.

This hotel is about the best bang for your buck in Lake Louise for an average hotel.

TIP: make sure to upgrade to the executive king room if you want an updated, nicer room, we had the older style room. Make sure to ask to pay the advanced no-cancellation price, which was cheaper. I paid $131.75 (plus hotel tax).

My husband and I went for a romantic weekend getaway. The room was clean, well kept, and comfortable. Decore was relatively new. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would stay there again.
