great spot what you expect froma hostel they had a steam room which is great good internet facilities ar eup to date kitchen is fine overall a good place to stay

HI Banff was a great experience. We were upgraded to the new Mary-Belle building and it was lovely. New, clean and spacious. We had a wash-room in our bedroom and one of the bottom bunks was a double. There is a big common area with a fire place in the middle, a great place to hang out or read a book on the couch. The kitchen was great and well stocked, 3 huge fridges, and 2 large ovens. The free bus pass they give you is so handy, and we used it plenty of times. This hostel is great if you want a quieter stay, or if you there for a bit of a party, the bar in the main building was a lot of fun, and they had some great drink specials. The wi-fi was patchy, couldn't get a connection in the rooms, but the common areas it was okay. The staff were all lovely and helpful. We ended up staying for a week at this hostel instead of the planned 2 days. It was a great place to wind down and get sorted for the next stage of our holiday. Lovely hostel would highly recommend.

It's a clean place with friendly staff. Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Wi-fi is available everywhere

I recommend staying in the addition if you don't want the music from the bar in the basement to disturb you in the night. I didn't try eating there so I can't give any feedback on that.

it was my first time staying in a hostel and i was traveling alone. i stayed for three nights in a coed dorm. the room was small with two sets of bunk beds and a set of lockers. the room was clean and the washrooms were also. its a quick bus ride away from downtown banff, and the bus is free with the stay which was definitely a great thing. theres a view of the mountains which is what's nice... especially paying just $30/ night! wifi was a bit difficult to connect to at first, but it worked well. the atmosphere was very fun with young people. the staff was very upbeat and helpful too. though it was harder to meet people as a single traveller.. mostly because the people in my room were out the next day. otherwise it was definitely worth it and would stay there again ... just probably with a couple of friends next time.
