“Beautiful Rocky Mountain Getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

Our cabin was perfect (pine chalet, one of the less expensive ones). It had everything we needed - king size bed, kitchen, and wood burning stove that kept the whole place nice and toasty. Our dogs were even greeted with their own pet beds, bowls and cookies. It had been snowy and cold, so one staff member even gave me a tube of paw wax so their feet would be more comfortable walking outside. The train is close by, and goes by quite often, but we thought it was cool, and added to the "cabin in the woods" experience. If you don't like it, wear earplugs. I did, but more because my dogs snore :)

“Romantic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

Located on Bow valley Parkway the chalets are siutated in a forrest close to Lake Louise and about 30 km from Banff close to interection with banff windermere parkway .Nice chalets with jacuzzi and fireplace and also a hot tub outside which was very neat to use especially that outside was snowing. There are some fitness facilities too but we didn't use it.

“Loved everything about Castle Mountain Chalets...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2010

Booked two nights in a deluxe one bedroom cabin, stayed Nov.24-26 Had family visiting from Montreal and decided to take them to the mountains. The cabin was very clean and came with everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner with. Was even suprized that they provided the dish soap !

We had the wood burning fireplace going from the moment we walked in until we went to bed as the weather was cold (minus 42 with the windchill one day !) The bed was comfy but the pullout could have been better but I guess most people let the kids sleep on it. We were 3 adults so two of us had a turn sleeping on it...lol

We enjoyed the hot tub one night. It was very clean and we were impressed that they provided seperate towels so that you didn't have to use your bath ones.

We did blow the breaker while cooking breakfast one morning ( guess we had too many things in use at the same time), my sister walked over to the office and they were there in less than 5 minutes to show us how to reset it if it happened again.Overall we found the staff to be very friendly and very willing to answer any questions we had.

We were alittle worried about being close to the train tracks but in the end it wasn't a problem at all. We loved the general store onsite, I think my sister went about 5 times over the two days that we were there, she just thought it was great !

We will gladly return to Castle Mountain Chalets, we thought they were a great value for the Nov. special price that we paid.

We will be back soon....

“We love the sound of the train whistle muffled by the mountain enviroment.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2010

The Chalets are nestled under Castle Mountain and close to great walks and hikes. We love the cabin fireplace and kitchen. The staff are young and pleasant. Firewood stacked at the door. We stay there every year.
