The room was quite reasonable in price (61$ per night) and was pretty big. Both beds were clean and nice, washroom was clean as well. TV had over 40 channels which was kind of cool. The only flipside was that you have a shared "balcony" with about 10 rooms and this balcony is the only access to rooms, which means, in winter it will be a bit of a problem.

A nice budget hotel with basic but perfectly adequate rooms and facilities. Close to the centre of Banff. Light sleepers may be awakened by the mournfull sound of the train whistles from the railway a few blocks away.

Excellent restaurant next door - Melissa's

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in September - the location is great and very close to the main town areas and shops and restaurants.

The hotel itself looks like and old style motel-type building and although the rooms were a little dated they were large clean and comfortable.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and you are able to use the facilities of the larger hotel across the road. To use the swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi you need to ask for a key card from reception whihc gives you free access - we used the pool area one afternoon - it was quiet and very relaxing.

The only slight drawback was the noise of trains during the night - if you are a light sleeper this could wake you.

Overall I would have no hesitation staying here again

This Inn is in downtown Banff on a side street with free parking just outside. It doesn't look much from the outside and when I saw it I thought it was going to be dreadful. I was so wrong.

Our ground floor room was simply furnished but spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It had a fridge and coffee maker plus TV and a desk.The reception staff were friendly and helpful and gave us an entry card for the hotel opposite for free access to their swimming pool . The nearby Wild Flour Bakery does good breakfast.

Downside? No aircon. The road outside is busy but relatively quiet at night. However if you open the windows anywhere in downtown Banff you hear the train horns at night. Easily fixed with ear plugs.

Wish we had booked more nights there and not moved on.
